Everton have singed Naismith from Rangers. That's three definate signings from Rangers to other clubs (Norwich and Sion) that have taken advantage of the "free" transfer. I wonder if we are interested in Steven Davis if we are thoroughly checking out the legal situation on their contracts. It will be interesting to see if Rangers try anything legally to stop these transfers/signings.

Apparently we aren't after Davis .
It's more because of Butterfield than Richardson - Butterfield was good *cover* for Richardson in the Championship, but is far too slow for the Prem IMO. I have no problem with Richardson & personally think he's a better crosser of the ball and better positionally than Danny Fox. Hell, I'm very worried about Fox's positional play, he'll be found out massivly in the Prem - I think he'll end up as cover for Buttner if we get that deal.Indeed. And yet when people talk about what we need to sign in this transfer window, every other response includes the words "a new RB".
Simon Peach says not, Alan Nixon says we are. Fight!
Nixon makes up alot of bull **** to, like Everton going in for Rodriguez etc. Haven't seen Peach do that yet, unless I missed itNixon makes up alot of bull **** to, like Everton going in for Rodriguez etc. Haven't seen Peach do that yet, unless I missed it
Nixon was also near dead-certain that we'd sign Collins back in Jan. Even speculated about a month ago that Cortese was about to ditch Adkins, to get a bigger name in. Oh, and weren't we apparently Rob Green last month too.
Can't say I really trust, nor care, what comes out of Nixon's mouth any more.
Rumours are that Vitesse replied to our offer for Buttner with a simple text message - "We want more." Dutch people claim our offer was "trashy". If true, that would mean we want installments while Vitesse want all the money upfront.
The problem with Nixon is that he's paid to write stories for the paper, and he has a deadline. Even if he has no news, he has to write something.

Not sure where you get that conclusion from. More likely QPR offered more cash and we're playing hardball knowing that the player prefers to come to us. I'm sure a compromise will be reached.
