Anyway, for a little fun, if you could all pick 5 (realistic) transfers that would transform our squad, who would you pick up?

For me, I'd be taking Ramirez, Schurrle, Krasic, Elia and Dembele. Some bloody goals in there. Bollocks to a new defensive mid.

Also, just had a slight profile rebranding, got nearly as sick of seeing Djimi Traore on all of my posts as I did of seeing him in a Liverpool shirt.

 

N'Gog and Traore look about as realistic as we can get at the moment

Good player, but don't see why he would want to go to chelsea. The likes of Torres, Lukaku, Mata, Hazard would all be ahead of him. Unless he wants to do what Torres did and watch Chelsea play from the bench the whole season.

I thought the reason he (Sigurdsson) chose not to honour his deal to join Swansea was due to the fact they had no manager.

If he chooses Tottenham we will find out if he is in fact, a mercenary.

 

To be honest TR I'm amazed anyone hasn't realised that all modern footballers are "mercenaries". Would players like Silva and Aguero have joined Citeh before the money flooded in? Never in a million years. If he chooses Tottenham it will be because of money and if we can't match Spurs spending on wages then we have gone seriously wrong somewhere along the line.

At the same time it seems as if we've balked at the 60k he's demanding. While those are staggering numbers, to put things into perspective Cole is on 90k I think.

In today's world 60k isn't massive like the wages Chelsea players are getting so if those numbers are correct it's a mistake not to pay it.
