Whatever happened to free speech? Sword's views are often extreme but are usually based on fact and/or observation which is more than can be said for many. I think many have never forgiven him for being outspoken about Warnock whose status as QPR 'legend' was bestowed far too easily IMO. Surely people must realize that this forum is one of the most active in the country and it is because people have differing and often controversial views rather than in-spite of it. Don't complain about controversy - join in and keep this forum the best!

Well done all.

This kind of thread is precisely what keeps our board as vibrant a forum as can be. It's about members discussing SELF-moderation. Posters have been free to express their views openly and in my judgement have come down in favour of Swords being as Norway says, a bit of a 'provocateur' (Norwegian for wum!) - but very much one of our own.

Swords for his part (and one of the factors that separate him from CB) has read the feedback, smelt the coffee and resolved to tone it down to placate his detractors. Had CB had the respect and humility to have done likewise, he'd still be free to post with us.

So, as far as Swords is concerned, the board has spoken and given him the green light to continue. TLR is equally respected and well entitled to voice his concerns. As Flyer keeps reminding us, there's an ignore button in 'My Profile' somewhere. If someone's pissing you off, locate it and use it. 'Nuff said?

I imagine that cartoon could have got you shoved in the gulag, or even worse.

Damage you are correct. I'm going to reign it in for a wee while and allow others a chance to develop the threads. This site isn't solely for my entertainment, it belongs to everyone so I'm going to button it on the big stuff for a while.

I've PM'd Lone to that effect.

Right, well I've given it a week and it doesn't seem like the OP is posting any more than he usually did. I was going to stay off right the way to the start of the Season but quite frankly something has rankled me from the first day and has festered to the point that I'm thinking "fu*k him".

Loan Ranger didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my PM. Disagreeing with me and disliking me is absolutely fine (and totally understandable). But to not even have the civility to reply to an honest effort at reconciliation is, to my mind at least, petty and juvenile.

So Loan: Pog Mo thoin! :emoticon-0172-mooni
