My wife is a Scouser. A posh one though with no interest in football.

You have though managed to describe my mother-in-law aptly.

That's what i was trying to say!!! I mentioned the fact that we were relying on Enrique and Barton for quality deliveries into the box, but instead of worrying about losing a creative part of the team, we could just sign a LB that's good at defending with decent pace, and add creativity in midfield in the summer!!!

    Jesus...

I know exactly what i was trying to say, but you obviously didn't grasp again the point i was trying to get across, but atleast, for once, you're trying to have a conversation on this instead of being your usual ****ish self.

I can't be bothered to again write an essay trying to explain this, so i'll make it brief.

    - Enrique is one of two people on this team that we rely on for quality deliveries into the box. Him and Barton are both the only consistant crossers of the ball we have.

    - Instead of people worrying about trying to get a replacement for the creativity that we'll miss from Enrique from the LB position, we just need to sign a LB that can defend that left side and one that is a solid left back player.

    - We can sign additional creative players in the summer, to make up for the loss of quality if we sell Enrique. We can't rely on a LB to put in a huge share of the crosses, we need to add quality to the midfield.

    - We don't need to spend huge amounts trying to get someone near to the quality of Enrique. I'd like to sign someone that can fill his shoes. I'm not saying lets sign any average LB and stick him in the team, but Enrique is a world class LB, and there's only 2 or 3 others in this league that are as good as Enrique. We don't need to sign somoene of Enrique's class, just someone that will provide solid protection at the back, and one with pace. We don't necessarily need one to create goal scoring opportunities like Jose. We can buy the sort of creative players we need to do that in the summer, as after Barton and Enrique, no one seems to provide anywhere near as good as them.

Hopefully this will end it and you will understand what i was saying...

are you all talking about this video?? personally i think its a load of nonsense, tho nobody has come out to agree or deny anything. would this deal have been done whilst they were waiting for Carroll to sign the dotted line at anfield? feel a bit raped if that is the case!!

I play left back, I'll do it. Low wages, anything is better than minimum wage in a call centre. Always was an outdoors person.

  9. I can't understand why anyone would agree to work for minimum wage. How do you live?

£15 mill is acceptable tho, definitely. Id let him go for £15 mill. Provided ashley spends wisely, id laugh my socks off til the end of time if we did actually get Gervinho and Moussa Sow. That would set us up nicely for the 11/12 campaign

£15 mill acceptable <yikes>. Wouldn't of accepted anything less than £20 mill due to LB being one of the most specialised positions there is. I can't think of many left backs thats better or equal quality to Enrique.

Edit: Although I agree that Gervinho and Sow would be awesome.

I recall life before the introduction of minimum wage.

It was either increase salaries or reintroduce slavery and slavery is shunned...

If he plays like he did yesterday from now to the end of the season I'd even let him go to Liverpool

  14. We should accept 15m because he's out of contract soon, I'd accept nothing less than 20m for Tiote as he's on a 6 year contract now

I don't think we would be able to get 15mil for Enrique.
20 definately the very minimum for Tiote

Remember wages, agent fees, signing on fees etc also have to go into that. Couldn't see us getting anywhere near 50 mil to spend due to that.

    50* James Perches.

    We'd rule the footballing universe**.

    * The fee was undisclosed but rumours speculate a fee of £1 million

** If the footballing universe could handle the concept of 50 James Perch's
