Very tue. Baz has treated us like chumps though, he showed hostility now we must counter attack with tirrany. How else could we hit him though??
If the club's money has been used, despite all that he has said, why should he have access to it? He has set it up in his own company, but if it can be shown that he has used sleight of hand to do that, surely the club can claim it back.
Not much point boycotting the Lion. Even if a boycott was well observed, it could easily be turned into an away pub. If it came to it, a more effective form of protest would be a receipt trawl.
all i heard today was that we won't hear anything til Monday, and possibly that might role into Tuesday, but...that this is now almost without doubt going to happen...we can only hope!
They are Italian after all - so don't expect anything in a hurry. I am concerned that the Rous stand will fall down as soon as the takeover is complete. Perhaps I shouldn't have bought that Alfa back in the 90's.
How about we all pay for our drinks using credit cards, that way we will hit him in the pocket by making him pay for all our card fees! Won't be much but at least it's something! Also, make sure you tear up the beer coasters so they have to be replaced every time. Sure there are other ways to hit his overheads on that place, any other ideas?
I was having a think. If the take over does pass we would be able to take some palyera drom Udinese or Granada but there is still the limit of how many you might play on the firldat any one time. With the players we have we would not have a problem next season If the squad ratayed the same.
There are many texts writen about the take over and the best are not from the club. What is bad is there could be truth in all of them but all may have speculating.
It will be interesting to see whether the club website is updated today. Not necessarily with any news on the takeover, just with any sort of story at all. Maybe something as low-key as Jack Bonham's views on the season, or something on Euro 2012. It's highly unusual for the club to go 72 hours without posting anything, even at the weekend and even during the summer.
Kevin Affleck described this week as being pivotal in the history of Watford. Clearly there will be no money to pay the wages if it is needed coming from Baz, so as they are due this week something has to happen. Seeing the statement on the official site it appears that things are going smoothly with the talks, but has Baz been completely sidelined, or could he still be a fly in the ointment?
The key is who is in operational control of the club on the 1st of July, and under what circumstances. I don't expect us to buy players until the ownership struggle is resolved, but equally I expect whoever is making the final say to say "no" to any sale, unless all parties believe the player should be sold.
Observer Owl has just tweeted "Just spoke to a source close to negotiations. Said everything is going very well when it comes to #WatfordFC takeover "
So the news on Friday was just some sort of hissy fit from Bassini? Dérouler Répondre Watford Observer‏@Observer_Owl Yes. Plus I reckon he was trying to apply pressure on Pozzos but that could have backfired massively
I am wondering what impact the Deeney situation has had on the negotiations - whether they have had to wait for the outcome of the sentencing, to establish the effect on his asset value to the club, which has now been severely reduced perhaps to nil.
