He wants to talk to villa about his future, with a year left on his contract and him been used to starting for City i think he will be back in the summer on a 2-3 year contract http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11714_6865622,00.html
i hope not, made too many mistakes for me after having a good run out with us. would MUCH rather see mannone back on a season long loan. or maybe we've got our eye on some of the younger keepers in the lower leagues like Smithies or Lewis maybe. with our scouts i think we can find a better keeper than guzan.
I have to agree in my eyes i think Vito has to be number 1 target for the summer and then maybe Guzan if we can't find another keeper good anough
I'm sure Vito will be our number one target(even if it's just a loan), probably with Eilhoff as his No.2.
Better hope Southampton hold onto that 2nd place then. If P'boro or Huddersfield get promoted we'll struggle to sign either of them as one will be unavailable and the other will have their price doubled as the chairman knows they're the only young keeper with a big reputation on the market.
i'd think it very unlikely we'd get either smithies or lewis. both would go much higher if their club didn't go up this season. mannone clearly everyones choice.
Depends if they want a pay slip or to get games. Which of them would be first choice at a PL club if they joined them this summer? They could come here and be first choice at a side pushing for promotion, and then if we got promoted would be our established first choice. Even if they joined a PL club they could find themselves being loaned out to the Championship to get games.
Are you sure about that, Lambo? NP sounded quite positive about the prospect of getting Guzan back permanently next season in his post-match interview on the BBC.
It was just my reading of the situation, I think Mannone will be our No.1 target. As for the No.2, I think it could be Eilhoff, or it could be Guzan, or it could be someone else and if Mannone is a no-go, then one of them may end up being our No.1.
I really hope we don't sign him. His distribution is awful, he's mistake prone and doesn't communicate at all. From the few games he's played for City imo he will never be a good PL goalkeeper. I thank him for what he did but compared to Mannone he is no where near good enough for us.
I think this is testomony to our management team. I think it is obvious to a Mannone is our first choice and Guzan 2nd choice, and would guess the plan is to sign them both. Should we fail to sign one of them we have a plan B in Einhoff. How refreshing to have forward thinking management
