**** me what are city doing to stop people buying thier shirts? Home top is a ****ing primark special and the away top is a rugby top. Not many selling in east ull I'm guessing
Well I'm guessing the only people that know how well shirts do every season are the owners... I'd venture a guess as to every year being the same, people hate it people love it... I won't be buying it I don't think that I will make much of an impact but I really want them to put a little effort into it. We aren't ****ing red and white, we have quite unique colours, with a quite unique name and quite unique combination of all those elements and yet they come up with your generic sunday league crap?? Clearly it's because they don't have to and aren't bothered... well whoever we get next should be bothered if they want £40 from me. It's not even about th emoney, I can afford both shirts on the day they come out, it's the principal. TWF you say our promotion shirt was just like england's well I could surely live with having same template as our national team rather than the sunday league team from your local park. Anyone team of 11 players with £100 can look just like us, that's ****ing embarrassing in my book. Umbro was by a country mile better. Our promotion season kits looked like we had a real identity. THe colours were right for a start. THe umbro pattern happen to look like tiger print, coincidently. THe away shirt still incorporated our colours despite having to be white. Our PL season was special and rightly so Umbro had to deliver... OUr home one was perfect, people say it looked like basic generic striped but I think it's the best looking striped template ever. "the tigers" on the back made it special to me. We needed to show our identity to the big boys. Our grey away one was a weird looking one but once again, It looked like no one elses. The black and amber collar trim and so on. The pin stripe shirt was special too. A new take on the stripes, a compromise between plain amber and stripes. It wasn't revolutionary but no one else looked like us. Don't think you could buy that template without the badges for your sunday league team. The blue one was horrid in my opinion but it was once again different. Adidas have given three discount, boring templates in three years. It seems as though we have the same ****ing template for home and away this year which is even funnier. The only one I like is last season's away which I will probably buy when it becomes cheaper. I know it's just a shirt at the end of the day but I'm happy to help the club and pay my share by wearing our colours but I'd like to wear something a bit more current than the umbro stuff.
I like the top one much better. Strange how a simple switch of colours can alter the total perception of the shirt.
I don't think there's any doubt that Umbro did a much better job for us than Adidas, maybe we'll get them back next season(at least I think the current deal runs out this season). Though judging by the comments across several boards, it seems more people won't buy it due to the logo on the front, rather than the design of the shirt.
As a shirt collecting 'geek' the last 3 shirts have been piss poor especially the new one . In my opinion... I prefer stripes @ Home And plain for Away.
I really like it, has a retro feel to it and it makes a change to the stripes. It's identical to Middlesbrough's away kit though...
Having now seen the shirt on display in club shop it's in no way as bad as I thought from looking at photos on line . Though I like stripes best in my revised opinion it's the best looking shirt adidas have given us... That will teach me to judge without having first seen anything ... Doh !
I'm sure it probably looks fine and would like fin put on but I'm still annoyed by the plainness of the template, I do think we should stick to stripes or modified stripes. Anyways I'm guessing the away will be one of these, plus a couple I played with (chelsea have fading adidas stripes and I do have a thing for our tiger print on the other one) please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Absolutely 'Fair Do's', OLM - that logo just cheapens a great shirt and, the sooner we can get shut, the better!!!!
Yeh cash converters ruins it for sure but if you look around there aren't that many nice sponsors out there, gambling sites and pawn shops and phone recycling companies seem to have invaded the sponsor... we won't be getting samsung or fly emirates so let's be silly... Unless cash converters is simply the worst we could get according to you? something with our colours would be nice, like strongbow or continental tires... I mean would you be happier with wonga or tombola bingo?
Bring back Kingston Communications, they might be interested again now we look like we have some ambition. My favourite would still be Tiger Beer, surely a marriage made in heaven; Has nobody from HCAFC ever approached them I wonder.
I'm waiting for Poundland to sponsor a team. I will literally piss my pants laughing.......... unless it's us. It probably will be us.
