hi there,
I do apologise for a topic not related to football, but as I'd imagine there are quite a few people here living around the triangle I'd love to know you opinion about the area.
Well... I'm planning to buy a flat... Due to my smallish budget (£130k) I can only afford something further down from central London. So far I chose 2 locations I reasonably like: Crystal Palace and Sutton, but I can't decide which one I should go for.
According to my brief observations:
- it takes similar amount of time to get to central london by train (approx. 25mins)
- I'm single, no kids, so schools, etc is not an issue
- I'm not big "going out" person, however it's nice to have places to go out locally ocassionally. I think CP wins here
- Sutton has a nice English vibe, but CP is also pleasant with nice mixture of people
Do you think my observations are correct? What else I should take into consideration? Any recommendations from anyone living in those areas?
Any other parts of London anyone could recommend? I also went to see some flats in cheaper areas such as Leyton and Edmonton - biggest dumps I've ever seen... and very ghetto'y feel... definitely something I'd like to avoid. I also went to see South Norwood...but it's a bit run down and doesn't look so nice either.
Many thanks!
Adam
