You're talking like AVB is a done deal. It's far from done, IMO. i still don't believe it will be him.

It doesn't take much for the likes of Terry, Lampard and Drogba to get the hump

I'd take AVB's side against them

Did Redknapp really back Levy into a corner? That was just media talk, Redknapp said it had nothing to do with contract demands etc, not saying that Redknapp is as honest as they come but I don't think we'll know the real reasons.

I'd prefer Moyes anyday over AVB. I prefer a manager who knows the English game better to someone with little or no experience of it (though of course someone like Guardiola would be more than welcome :D).

To be fair, I only ever seem to see negativity towards Redknapp on this forum, outside of here all I ever saw was support for 'Arry. Personally I was a big admirer, he transformed our club and got us playing some of the best football I've seen and I'm tryly gutted at his departure. Though as I said in my previous post, the next manager, whoever it may be, has my full support. <ok>

He was our manager about 4 times, don't put anything by betting odds!

Isn't he close to going to Roma or something?

Not just based on odds mate. People were talking about it before his odds were slashed, as some claim they have inside knowledge. Plus there's pictures on Twitter which I've seen where he's at Manchester Airport "supposedly" boarding a flight to London.

Yeah, the guy who posted it said he works for BA at Manchester Airport and said AVB said he was on his way to London but didn't say if it was to meet Levy or not.

Nobody said that Levy would never even interview AVB. He may well do - along with several other candidates, I'm sure. An interview doesn't mean, however, that He's got the job.

I have to say, while AVB was at Chelsea, he was terrible. Tactically inept and lost the faith of all the players and fans. If you want to continue your recent successes in challenging for the champions league, stay well clear.

BA, does that stand for Bugger All, perhaps that's why Levy wants him.

very true i forgot about that..however i think it was a case of desperate measures for desperate means..he surely wont ruin our dressing room as efficently? these things take two parties..and i think it is a positive that as a set of players..ours are not a bunch of ****s.

  15. Please, please, please let this not be true! AVB was an utter clown at the Chavs, and he'll be an even bigger clown for us. We will be made the laughing-stock of the EPL. I'd rather have Big Sam than AVB. Hell, I'd rather have Queen Kenny! That's how lowly I rate AVB.

Having said that, I am comforted by three things:-

    (1) most ITK gossip is complete rubbish;
    (2) the bookies slashing their odds is nothing more than a reaction to the amount of money being placed in bets, and does not mean that the event will actually happen; and
    (3) it's been 24 hours since the ITK news, and no sign of AVB.

I want a manager that is going to give the players the confidence that we will be competitive next season. I'm not that keen on any of the front runners, but I'd be prepared to give Moyes a chance.

    alright chaps mackem in peace

think AVB would be a good appointment, don't just judge the guy on his Chelsea stint

Chelsea was the wrong job for him, look at his time at Porto and how he had them playing, similar in a lot of ways to you guys and if he is given time and a chance to go and bring in 3 or 4 players then I really think he can do good for Tottenham

He should never of been appointed Chelsea manager, they didn't have the players to play how he wanted and it showed as they had to change there style of play after 4 or 5 games into the season. It would of been like Wenger going to Stoke and getting there squad to play like Arsenal do it just wouldn't work.

  19. Sorry, but AVB will be a big, big mistake.

I knew the man was a complete knob when he ordered the Chav players to celebrate goals by running over to him and including him in their usual kisses & cuddles, in order to show the viewing public that the team had unity.

that is because it was so obvious that there was no unity...i dont think he had that problem with Porto.

Cmon HIAG, being in charge of a bunch of twats cant be easy...i dont think our squad is up its own arse like the chavs.

that doesnt mean im saying he is the right man...i havent got a clue who i truely want.
