If Dawson takes all the Corners and Throw-ins again i'll be amazed.

I still think Daws does a good job. His set pieces and throw-ins are, admittedly, atrocious. Need to get someone else in for that right hand corner.

Solid at left back though. Rosenior does the attacking down the right, Daws just meanders forward on occassion to put crosses in. Surprised at the criticism

I don't think anyone is bothered about Daw's playing left back, but equally, I don't think anyone wants to see him taking set pieces.

I would agree. He comes 50 yards across the field and hits the first man with 80% of his corners. Just surprised people have said in the past few months we need cover and/or a replacement for Dawson

The most annoying thing is the throw-ins. Why must he take them all? It slows the game down so much when he walks 40 yards just to take a crap throw-in. Literally anyone else could do it better.

I've been saying we need a left back since we got to the position were Delaney was keeping Dawson out and it wasn't seen as a shocking decision. Left back was a weak point in the team during promotion last time and we haven't improved there. We've just had bigger priorities in recent windows than sorting out left back as other positions became even bigger weak points.

I would disagree, think he was the most consistent player last season. Hunt and Mouyokolo were great, but only had half seasons. For me Daws does a very good job at LB now

Well i love him for what he does, i used to rate him however he has played poorly this whole year and the last season in the PL i was calling for killer to replace him and if it is getting that desperate that i needed to call for him he has being playing poorly. However he always insist on pulling players, one referee would pick up on it, the amount of penalties he should have given away this season is a disgrace, at least once a match it should be a penalty.

doesn't really get enough credit, very consistent player, Koren surely has the technique to take the dead balls though..

I wonder what Roland Edge is doing these days:emoticon-0138-think poor Daws and Ash were picked on for years, wish we had some more positive fans sometimes

If it's managerial instruction why is there such a difference between Dawson on the left and Rosenior on the right? Or going back to the last promotion season between Dawson and Ricketts? Dawson gets the ball, gets to the halfway line and turns round even when he's got 30 or 40 yards to run into. Rosenior gets into the same place and keeps going because we can actually attack then. I don't want Dawson bombing down the wing all the time, but in those positions I want him moving forward.

Dawson hasn't been getting picked on at all. Until this season he's been in the Stuart Green club where you're immune to criticism because fans like you. His attitude as captain earlier in the season was a disgrace though. Telling the keeper to shut up when he was rightly bollocking his centrehalves after an opposition player was given a free header from 8 yards at a set piece was frankly ridiculous. Then playing a backpass that should never have been played, and underhitting it before giving the keeper a bollocking for not getting to it first.

Dawson is a great asset to the club and has been over the years. He has always been a great ambassador to the club both on and off the field. At 33 he is still up there and if he did call it a day then he would get a great salute.
    Another year at least tho!
