All you had to do was agree then and I'd have disappeared from this board non the wiser.

I don't know who's the biggest nugget here. Me for not knowing or you for not cottoning on how to get get rid of me.

:(
He did agree - sure the reason is because he is banned but that is irrelevant.

Good point but he didn't agree not to post on our board he was banned so there is a slight difference.

I shall now leave you in peace.

Have a nice day.

I didn't think SSL had that bad a game. Okay for the last goal he should have done better but overall, he had a decent game. The main problem was that Ireland's midfield sat far too deep and didn't press the ball. Modric had acres of space to run the show.

... he has really pissed me off! ... I ummed and ahhed whether to put him or Richard Dunne in my Euro 2012 Fantasy Footie line-up ... and on the basis that I wasn't 100% convinced that SSL would get a starting place, went with that Villa lump .. damn you SSL, damn you ....

.. agreed ... but weren't the Irish fans brilliant ... their team was pretty much outclassed, they were robbed of a nailed on penalty. yet all you could hear at the end of the game was 'The Fields Of Athenry' echoing around the satdium ... awesome support

Another point to make is that the ITV commentators said Jelavic was the first Premier League player to score in the Euros (great goal btw), yet St. Ledger was in fact the first English-based (and English seeing as he's from Birmingham, let's hope he's not the only English player to score this tournament). ITV also wrongly, as usual, stated that he hadn't scored all season for Leicester, ignoring his goal against Norwich in the FA Cup. Classic ITV

Technically, they're not wrong on either count. St. Ledger isn't a Prem player and they said he hadn't scored a league goal all season.

They actual said "he hadn't scored a goal in the CHAMPIONSHIP all season."
So they were actually right

Garbage defending from Ledger and Ward for the Torres goal.
