Nixon doesn't appear to have a clue. His story has changed so many times.

Last Sunday I was sat in the car reading that Martin O'Neil's Sunderland were set to bid for Jay - written by....... Alan Nixon.

He does know some things such as the bids and one being accepted, and when Jay returned from holiday but I think that's it.

He's just capitalising on the lull/silence by churning out stories to keep people buying the paper/visiting the site.

We had a deadline for Thursday, then Friday, then there was no deadline at all. Then he had a medical, then he was just in talks.

He's hit the end of his knowledge on this deal.

Journo writes evening article offering more news on otherwise quiet transfer story. Everton, Southampton and Burnley fans buy newspaper. Not that hard really, they should give me a job.

Get writing! I just think as we have said, he is capitalising on the lack of public developments on this deal.

Let's see what Nixon has given us so far:

Bid from Sunderland, reported by: Alan Nixon
Bid from Southampton, reported by: Alan Nixon, Fourth Official, almost every newspaper, Lancashire Telegraph, Thisislancashire, BBC
Jay Rodriguez set for Southampton move, reported by: Alan Nixon, Fourth Official, almost every newspaper, Lancashire Telegraph, Thisislancashire, BBC
Jay Rodriguez stalling on signing, reported by: Alan Nixon
Everton close to hijacking deal, reported by: Alan Nixon, The Mirror (article written by Alan Nixon)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Now that moyes is (suposedly) interested I all of a sudden hope he signs. Moyes is such a great judge of players, our only hope is that hes already decided to sign for us because if Everton get a bid accepted then its curtains for us and who could blame him Everton are a far far bigger club than us in a few years hopefully we will be competing with clubs like them!

That may be true, but I estimate that by the third season in the PL, we'll be expecting to beat sides like Everton. Saints are aiming to go places. Everton are going nowhere.

Nothing concrete but how about this. 6'6 Brazilian CB Naldo. I have heard of him, he didn't play at the ML Trophy last year. COuld replace Jaidi for a few seasons. Thoughts?

I have vowed to never again set eyes on the Daily Mail, due to their constant made up bull. Naldo looks like leaving Bremen and returning home, so may not be worth any effort. However Bruno Manga from L'orient would be awesome, not Brazilian but would do the job!

I go to bed and this blows up. If he doesn't sign for us, he is obviously rubbish and we didn't want him anyway<whistle> I want players who are thrilled to sign for us...no single player is bigger than this club. Let's just wait and see...Saints fans are used to waiting.

But does Alan Nixon know when he returned from holiday, BBC article Claim he returned on Thursday and Alan Nixon claimed he returned on Monday. Also Alan Nixon said he would prefer Everton if they come in, funny how he now says Everton want him.

So it's your fault for going to bed Fran ? Don't do it again .........
