If we sign this trotter lad then he could end up being another Tim Cahill. Not just because its the same team but Cahill was about the same age and type of player and look how well that turned out. I'd welcome him in.
 
Trying to get back to the subject, what positions do people think need signings for?

Mine would be:
GK (Back up but with future potential)
CB
RM/LM
ST

Maybe a RB too...

Thoughts?
 
Park Ji-Sung's future at United is supposed to be in doubt. Anyone think he'd be a realistic target?

No, can't see us paying his wages and think there will be more established top flight teams after him.

As for positions - GK, RB, LB, CB, RM, CM, ST

That's more than enough, especially if a couple of those signings are versatile.
 
If we could land the players who have been linked quite strongly with us I think that would be job done. Those are Butland, Scott Danns, Ince, Trotter and J Rod.

Some hopes heh?

My additions would be GK - Craig Gordon (free), RB - Nathan Clyne (£2m), CB - Curtis Davies (£3m), RM - Tom Ince (£2m + Puncheon), CM - Steven Davis (£1.6m) & of course CF - Jay Rod (£7m). Would like Matt Jarvis but can't see him coming to us, and would go for Liam Trotter if Steven Davis doesn't come.

Clyne is a free transfer I think.

Davis (Butland isn't ready to start yet)
Richardson - Dann - Hooiveld - Fox
Ince - Cork - Schneiderlin - Lallana
Lambert - Rodriguez

I didn't put Trotter in because I prefer Cork and Morgan... doesn't mean I don't want to see us sign Trotter, but yeah.
