He wants the investment to cover his failed business ventures and probably plough more of it into property development. The only reason he wants a majority share is because he's a power mad, delusional old **** who's done nothing but fail and wants one last shot to "prove the doubters wrong" with his half cooked ideals.

He's going to **** us over, yet again, and this time not even he will benefit from it because he's just a sad old **** who can't see what's best for him.
 
Why are these people allowed to do business? These loopholes should have been closed years ago, but the ****ing government are too busy trying to lower taxes on the incredibly rich.
 
If I was an investor and Bates told me I could only have 30% of the shares, because Bates wanted to stay in charge, I would walk away. Imagine pumping millions into a businesss where the chairman stays on, but is only allowed in the country for 69 days each year. Hardly managing my investment is he. But he says, don't worry we'll still have Harvey as MD, I'd saygetofuckyousickrobbingtwat.
 
If I were an investor and bates told me I could only have 30% and he'd stay in charge I'd think "well... look how ****e you've done so far? What makes you think I want you in charge of my money?" and walk away.

Somebody needs to tell him to his face how **** a job he's doing, and don't dance around it. Just tell him he's a miserable failure.
 
*UPDATE* there is one very serious bid on the table but it means Bates relinquishing power!! Just received this, can't get anymore except that Harvey is meeting the investors. Where the **** is Bates? Surely he should be here? This just slows down the process with lap dog running back and forth. Also told that apparently Keith Andrews is on the radar, nothing about Alan Smith at this time. Who else would potentially be after Andrews is what I'd like to know as they will have the advantage while takeover talks are happening. Damn!!

Guessing that matches the story in the YEP today about Smithers returning from the FL AGM.
 
Smithers....LOL!!! I don't bother with YEP because they seem to take their news feed from twitter, but if that's what they're saying so be it. My "sauce" is sports presenter on TV who also carried the Olympic Torch. Info has always been accurate in the past on a number of different things. I just hope Bates gives in quickly so we can move on and build a team. Told this could be awesome for Leeds if it happens, oh please let there be a god that listens to our prayers!!!

Bates is fine, he's out of the UK just now and from all accounts, has been working away as normal.
 
*UPDATE* Bates close to agreeing deal!! Right, so I've now been told the deal is close, and Bates will hand over power. It should have been concluded on Sunday, but Bates wanted to think about it for a few days and discuss with Harvey "to be certain it is in the best interests of the club." Sale is imminent, but I have no firm info on the buyers yet. I do worry with Bates though, all he needs is a strong coffee and suddenly he feels he can rule the world again. I do hope there is no u-turn from Bates, or that he doesn't upset the buyers, but there seems to be a real determination now to get a stake in Leeds so at least that is positive. Can't wait to see Harvey and Lorimer gone!!

Seriously, if you are on the money thaqt we have a takeover and Bates , mates and Harvey are gone, there could be a lot of very happy LUFC fans very soon, and possibly a big boost to season ticket sales also
