Plus he isn't a goal scorer, which is what we need.

I might be wide of the mark, but surely this would be a good time to test the resolve of the players from Norwich and Swansea. Some of them may be disillusioned with the direction of their respective clubs following their managers leaving, the time may be ripe for cherry-picking the best that they have to offer. Danny Graham and Grant Holt had good seasons as did Hoolahan, Sinclair, Pilkington, Dyer among others....maybe they could do a job for us?

Pilkington would be absolutely perfect for us. Unfortunately I see him joining a much bigger club within the next couple of years and coming to Saints from Norwich now would be a massive sidestep for him.

We may well of made an enquiry, we may of been the first to do so, but if the fee is anywhere near the £3 mil that is being reported then virtually every team will be in for him.
