Just picked up on twitter, that Paul Lambert has walked out on Norwich.

Have checked their board and it seems to be true. ( Put the Paul infront as I did not want to alarm anyone.)

Bust up with the board apparently.

    Unbelievable. First Rodgers, now Lambert!

Let's hope none of this bollocks will occur after Nige keeps us up.

    Well done for that

Yes, I've read that it's so. I believe it's because Aston Villa came courting and the Norwich board refused Lambert permission to speak to them. You can understand why they might be a bit cautious to do so. He's been a revelation for them.

Can't say I am sad about this, depends who they bring in though I guess.

Shocked and have to say I think it's a bad move for him, but he may just prove us all wrong!

Norwich City fans seem to want Malky Mackay!

His name has been tweeted so much he is now trending also.

    Two weeks ago:

Rodgers: I want to stay at Swansea for the long term.

Now: I want to be the next Liverpool boss.

Norwich: Holt (Captain) hands in transfer request and now manager resigns!

    It's a funny old world...

Sun have got a full story on it: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...Norwich-after-furious-row-over-Villa-job.html

Got to be signed, sealed, delivered, I'd say. Be on BBC in the morning.

Shocking movements - two of the brightest teams of the last season dredged of their managers, and possibly of their hopes of remaining on course next season, but two has-been teams desperate to try to compete - in my view, they've plumped for managers that are running teams that may well have finished above them next season (this season, in Villa's case). Lambert will have made by far the biggest error, in my opinion, should he go to Villa. Can there be such things as long-term projects nowadays, if you're not a top four team? Or top three actually, as Spurs' season got derailed by the Harry rumours.

Seems a bit overrated does Mackay, but what do I know?

Malky Mackay did alright with the Carling Cup, but couldn't prevent Cardiff's annual bottlejob.

Did well with Watford. Has the makings of a good team at Cardiff but needed a bit more backing as he had a smallish squad.

Cardiff had marked this as a "transition year" so did not expect much from him as he began rebuilding.

Huge Norwich fan favourite, I imagine he could be tempted. Could come down to A) Whether he is approached and B) Whether he feels he should stay loyal to Cardiff after the cash they have allowed him to spend on rebuilding.

If we have a good season, it's almost an inevitability that he'll be linked to all and sundry. Have little doubt that he'll handle the situation (whether it ends with him staying or going) with a bit more class than this saga.

Another manager leaving ahead of his time - too inexperienced for a bigger job right now

This is another reason why it was so crucial to go up this year - as it looks like the clubs needing managers are now going down to the upper echelons of the Championship to poach managers like Poyet (joy to be reunited with him if he succeeds Rodgers!) and Mackay. Adkins would certainly be on Swansea's and Norwich's wishlists had we been beaten play-off finalists.

Feel sorry for Norwich; a tightly run club like ours and with a highly regarded CEO in David McNally. What is Lambert thinking? Villa (and no disrespect to their fans) seem to be on the slide - end of league positions do not lie.
