I've been single for about 2 and half years, with a couple of no-strings arrangements in that time. On at least two occasions I'm aware of women have found me attractive but have told my mates that my '****-off attitude' is too much. I wasn't even aware I had a ****-off attitude! Must just be a miserable 85-year old in a 22-year olds body.

I'm also terrible for getting into the friend zone, I made the fatal error of moving into a house in second year of uni with 4 girls and just one other guy. I was desperate to pork one of the girls in particular, but living together is the final nail in the friend zone coffin [/foreveralone]

 

I should get back into the dating game soon (not as if I was ever really in it), been about 5 months since my ex chucked me (fat bitch) so want to find some new clunge, sadly summer is coming up and I live miles away from civilisation so not much hope of that!

Plus I have a horrible tendency to make girls (and people in general) hate me, it's an endearing feature of mine

 

My Dad lives in Surrey. I don't like it.

 

I only go to uni in Surrey, I'll be moving home soon. I like it though, Guildford is nice.

 

Guildford is fine I guess. My old man lives in/near Godalming. He moved recently but just down the road I think. I lost track.

Ah, I lived in a house with just three other girls for a year. One was a lesbian, one wasn't my type and one didn't seem to me to have much interest in the dating scene and I imagine it would be somewhat awkward if I was to try anything with her.

Also the fact that I'm ridiculously shy doesn't help. I asked out for drinks one of the girls at the gym the other day and it was only the second time I'd asked a girl out in person (and the first time the girl in question didn't realise I was asking her out) but alas she had a boyfriend, was flattered though.

 

I'm very happy that this and the 1000 replies thread from last night are still going, I like these off-topic threads, it's nice to talk about things other than football!

Be proud you've actually had the balls to ask somebody out! I've only ever done it once and it was a banker, the prospect of asking somebody out when it isn't a banker terrifies me.

 

Same for me, didn't end great though... Now I'm in the horrible situation of apparently having a banker yet not being able to do a thing about it due to the fact she's already taken...

Problem is she's at another Uni, albeit not a million miles away, but still.

 

If she lives a million miles away when you're not at uni, it's certainly not worth the bother for the tedious summer anyway
