No solid rumours just a few thoughts..

Firstly, everyone keeps going on about Rhodes as a potential target. Watching the playoff match, he looks slow and clumsy and doesn't hold the ball up at all well. I heard they have slapped a silly fee on him, over £6m. His goals speak volumes but, McDonald scored a lot on loan at gills in league two and couldn't cut it at champ level. Rodriguez is a far better option for me.

However, jack hunt, matt lowton and Harry Macguire all look good prospects to me. Would like to see Lansbury make a permanent switch too.

Matt Phillips and Tom Ince also are intriguing options, a lot sniffing around them but both look like they would be great additions.

That the first time you seen Rhodes play? He may have had a bad game but whenever I've seen him play he has looked a very dangerous player and is pretty good all round. I do agree though would rather get Rodriguez.

No, I have seen one other game and he was ok. He has looked ok on football league show but options to see him play full games have been limited. How many 90 mins stints have you see him play (not sarcastic, genuinely interested)?

His finishing is superb but he doesn't look to me like he would stand up in the premier league. I have often thought he has a poor first touch and today's game has only served to reaffirm my initial conclusion. I don't think Rodriguez would command such an inflated fee and think he is more polished.

First time I seen him was at Carrow Road in league 1 season. Also watched the play off leg against Mk Dons when he scored the header. and then the football league show I have seen things so probably not too much more then you, just whenever I have seen him he has looked handy, maybe I caught his good days

    Completely agree about Rodriguez

for what its worth, i agree about rhodes. he's a talent but i feel he's far less likely to do well at premier league level than many think. could be worth a gamble if the price was more realistic, say about £3m but at the current asking price, no chance <ok>

Has anyone seen the latest on Pacheco's twitter? He posted a picture of him on the beach in Norwich shorts earlier today. If he's supposed to be keeping his transfer secret then he's going the wrong way about it!

I think we'll see some foreign players this season. I always find that Lambert's cautious he likes to keep his cards close, you find out about the odd player his looking for but he never plays the media or pisses about like a lot of other managers do.

I did hear something about that fella, just assumed it was nothing. Do you know the original source (which paper)? If its the sun then I will just ignore it, haha

Must say I found Lamberts comments about foreign players fees being inflated quite surprising as I always felt it was homegrown talent that had inflated prices. Think he may just be trying to put people off the scent, most of the transfers tend to be quite surprising when they do happen. I'd love to see naughts back next season, loan or permanent.

It's just something that's been banded about on the net but the other day his agent comfirmed a numbee of clubs from the PL were interested in his signature. Why would mcnally go all that way just for a pre tournament friendly??

He's actually going is he? Not writing off the story at all, was just interested to know where the rumour had come from.

I still think he will go if a prem club comes in with the right fee.

I don't see a club paying the fee though which was apparently 8m before today..they may fancy closer to 10 now they've gained promotion.

Have a look abroad..I'd fancy PL to unearth a new Papiss Cisse for 10m rather than an unproven league 1 prospect.

I think his price tag has just doubled.

He'll probably stay till January, gives teams a chance to see if he can step up a division.

I'm looking forward to Larry taking Huddersfield to Elland Road next season, I bet Colin is working on his excuses already!

You are spot on there Dave.
Dazz, reckon that's spot on too. Will be interesting to see how Rhodes does in the championship next season.

Rumour has it that when Colin retires he is going to release a book containing all his favourite excuses. Although due to its length it may be released in 3 volumes

I have feeling that if any approach for Pacheco has yet to be made. I doubt Pacheco would keep the kit he wore at Adam Drury's testimonial if he knew he was heading back to Carrow Road soon. Just a thought.

According to the man himself, mcnally is in olso for tonights game <ok>

As for rhodes, would buy him but not for the stupid amounts that get banded about in the media. No player in league one is worth 8mil, or in the championship for that matter! Have to thank arsenal for the stupid fees of lower league talent now.
