Kalou and Bosingwa have not been good enough this season and last 2010-11 season to be given a new contract. They have been poor for two seasons.
I'm glad he's going; he played his part but has been very average for the club.
Obviously sad that the legend who is Drogba has left, but he couldn't have gone at a better time.
For me it's:
Out:
Drogba
Kalou
Bosingwa
Malouda
Benayoun
Mikel
Turnbull
In:
Marin (Completed)
Courtois (Loan)
Hazard
Hulk
Falcao
Modric
Anyone else we don't expect

Mikel out ?? when Essien has still to prove he has recovereed from knee injury?? your insane.
As for the ins they are just flavour of the month , Football Manager names. Hulk is linked with us every damn season and I 'm sorry but all I see is a striker not
fit to tie drogba laces.
Modric has been avarge for spurs and the rest will have to prove themselves in english conditions and going to play in some muddy cold crap hoole up north during the
winter, like nafield for instance.
I think max we should only let 3 playes leave a season, as we don't want to disrupt the team too much.
The most important question that chelsea faces is our we going to stick with solid defence , good tatical football with suberb strikers that has won us all our success or
are we going to try and go done the Arsenal route, pretty football that wins jack!
I just don't like Mikel that much. Seems pretty average to me. And I don't think we'll get all those players, just in an ideal world. We definitely need two new strikers.
no more kalou or bos !! only malouda to go !! you must be chuffed tel !!
Quite possibly it is money related (maybe they had unreal demands) but I was staggered how Bosingwa coped with Messi et al in the semi after Terry and Cahill went off and he is partially responsible for you winning the cup. I think that merits another year?
Mikel has done more than enough to be considered at least a solid squad player, was one of our best performers in the C.L semi and final.
Not sure we need two strikers. We only play one up front and even with Drogs gone we have Torres, Sturridge and Lukaku. We do need some attacking players to replace Kalou, Drogba and Anelka but don't forget we have De Bruyne and Marin to come in and the likes of Piazon and Kakuta from reserves/youth too. For me, one of Hulk, Hazard or Lucas should see us fine as long as we can get the best from Nando.
Mikel came to us at a young age so seems to have been around forever. He was a tall strong attacking centre midfield in Norway. His game was built on power. We made him Makelele's replacement and no one could do that. He has stated many time he doesn't like the job, he wants to attack like he did as a teenager. The role he plays needs strength and vision and immaculate passing. I think he has been above average at it. As he gets older he can only get better in that position. We have played him plenty of times and has it really hurt us (same as Kalou really)?. Both youngsters have held their respective ends up in the team. Fans though play favourites. I've seen JT and Joe Cole play like pub footballers and get rated after as man of the match by the majority Chelsea fans, it was like I was looking in from a different universe and I just wanted to go around slapping people for being so non-objective. The only fan Kalou has it seems is the Optima stats. Last thing. I went a few times to see Chelsea train and I had a poor opinion of Mikel I'll admit, but in training he was incredibly deft on the ball given his size, his touch and weight of pass was fantastic.
