Think Mr. David Burns BA Hons is responsible for the "Not Bruce" information. But even he seems to be backtracking now. please log in to view this image
I'm still utterly depressed and feeling let down. know its a done deal and I 've just got to get over it but I do keep wondering had City scraped a few more points and won at West Ham to get them into the play offs. Would the Allams have been so offended by whatever NB said that they would have taken the same action at the same time? If the answer is no they would not have sacked the manager in the play offs then really just how offended were they?............... Would they have waited to see how we got on before remembering how offended they were and just remembered if we lost. If it needed doing because something was wrong then it was just wrong and needed doing whatever the circumstances. Its all speculation and what if, I just get the feeling that it was all an excuse and they would have been far more pragmatic had there been just a few more points in the bag
Erm.....Not really. It now moves onto the next stage. The Courts. Hardly moving on is it. ? What a mess it continues to be.
I am no Bruce fan at all but give him credit for his past achievements as both player and manager (2012 apart) at Birmingham, Wigan and Sunderland. He also brought to the PL the likes of Zaki, N'Zogbia, Rodallega, Figueroa when manager of Wigan.
Well yes we do now need to look for a new manager as its sadly a fact that Barmby and the Allams cannot work together anymore. But what a waste it is to the club and i shall forever blame the Allams for this regardless. Part of me now wishes that Nick had said thanks but not thanks when NP quit last season. The Allams preaching loyalty is hypocrisy beyond belief. But yes we have to move on for the good of the club. But trusting the Allams anymore ? no chance. As for Nick, well he does not need to work or earn money. I think apart from taking this action all the way he will get all his badges for when Nick feels the time is right for a return somewhere in the future. imo.
Not a canteen story. But you beleave what you want. Whom i got it from has more credibility than OLM ever will have and who is just pissed that he has now lost his insider contacts. Lol.
Ok, I can no longer stay silent, it is in fact me that everyone is talking about, I am THE BRUCE. I was contacted shortly after mentioning that I was going for my 4th PL title on FM12 on the iPhone. I will be looking forward to your support & have already checked on several names that have been mentioned by you guys. I'm currently in Manchester having breakfast at F&B's before heading to Old T for a chat about players to loan.
Yeah, that's working out well by the looks of it... You sure it wasn't a sauce from the canteen that was speaking to you rather than a source?? If it was, maybe you need to ketchup again.
Was that just an edit? Or a childish dig at OLM? [P.S. - I wasn't having a go at you with "Canteen Story". It was the best way to express what might have influenced the Bruce odds]
Maybe you should read again what I said. I never mentioned his ability as a player, or manager. In fact I thought he was an excellent player and a reasonable good manager, but he spunked a load of money at Sunderland and got them nowhere. I cannot say about his other clubs because I can't remember and wasn't interested in those clubs. Not interested in Sunderland either just the amount of money he spent drew attention to him. He's a bit like Warnock imo, I can't stand either of them unless they are managing your club then he will be ok.
Oh very good. Lol. Nope he was on site and saw him. At the time he told me i wished it was the canteen lady. lol
Both. I must stop sinking to his level. Indeed it was childish of me. Will get Mrs T to slap me for being so.
I do make allowances for you most of the time. Must be the sun today. As for special needs your beyond that OLM.
Assem says.....Having heard NB’s internal appeal & following a review of the facts during a detailed meeting, I have decided to uphold the decision. I'd like to assure supporters that this decision has not been taken lightly & all options were explored deciding to uphold dismissal. Nick’s behaviour has led to the breakdown of trust & confidence with the Board and I therefore felt I had no other option. It is an extremely unfortunate end to a great period with the Club, although the Club would like the supporters to remember Nick for his playing career and the part he played in the Club’s promotions. I know it's over now(other than the legalities of the whole thing), but this remains a crock of **** and a piss poor way to treat someone who's done so much for the club, in my humble opinion.
If this news regards Steve Bruce turns out to be a crock then I am pretty sure what little cred they have left at Blunderside will be gone as far as I am concerned. They seem to get it wrong time and time again....if you do not know something dont have a guess and make out you do know something...I am not impressed (but will be if the news is true!!)
Sorry but that's what all journalists have to do. When something is a well-kept secret like this is they have to try and find little bits of information and hearsay where they can, some of it will turn out to have been bollocks and some will be true at the time but become false by the time it is published. It's not like they're saying it's definitely Bruce, they're saying they aren't sure but offering what little scraps of information they have heard.
