Salomon Kalou is being released by Chelsea this summer:

I've always thought he was a cracking player who hasn't been given enough game time as he always looks lively. Would fit well in a 433 and supply ammo for Cisse as well as score a few himself.

Exactly the type of player we woul be looking for if we had to find a replacement for Ba (not that I want to).

Thoughts?

Bosingwa on the other hand maybe worth considering, but I'd rather go for someone with more potential.

Exactly, why bring people in that aren't as good as what we've already got?

That's the way I see it. Not only that, it would stop the development of players sitting in the bracket of waiting to break into the first team like vuckic and tavernier.

100% no! CL final apart, the lad is pretty average. We already have better players and he'll now want to be first chocie somewhere. Please let that not be here. Ask Chelsea fans, they just view him as a bit all round ****.

wouldn't touch either of them, boswinga is 30 and will be looking for a last pay day and kalou looks nowt better than what we have and would be another absentee during the ACN

Kalou is one of those players in the Shola mould - utter ****e most of the time, sometimes produces the goods but ultimately must perform miracles in training to keep getting a new contract!

Although Chelsea have seen through him now <ok>

Never want to see him in a Newcastle United shirt, ever! <yikes>

Bosingwa is terrible. He played well in the two finals but I remember him being pretty awful against us?

Kalou I would go for. Agree that he is a good player who hasn't enough of a chance but then again, I thought the same about Obertan at Man Utd and he hasn't done too much to prove me right so far!
