Yes he spent big at Sunlan but Bruce is decent in the Championship. He certainly has a better record than Nick Barmby....And anyway, i reckon he'll hang on to see if Martinez goes to Liverpool cos he'd be almsot certain to get the Wigan job if he does. If you've read Whelan's autobiography you'll know how he loves him.
Jose Manual stated he has had no offers from any clubs and intends to spend the next 2 months with his wife who is seriously ill.
Unless Assem Allam re-instates Nick Barmby (which is unlikely) this issue wont be going away anytime soon i would suggest.
Bruce can manage at this level and wont be allowed to panic spend like he did at Sland. I think he'd be a good appointment if they give hime some time and it would certainly steady the ship as far as the players feeling uneasy as they must be at present. Following on from OLM's comment : Bruce to manage the team, Bob Carver to run the concessions!
NO. NO. NO and NO. He's a ****ing **** manager who leaves destruction behind him wherever he goes and has no loyalty whatsoever. Also bear in mind he will bring his black love child with him Titus Bramble!
He has a decent CV and I'm amazed City fans would not want him. I would be happy with his appointment
Not sure if this has been mentioned already and if it has then i apologise but this is probably the reason why manuel jose's odds have tumbled over the last couple of days........ http://www.goal.com/en/news/89/africa/2012/05/19/3112485/manuel-jose-announces-al-ahly-exit
At the moment with all the released players around being tapped up by clubs for 1st july. I would be pleased with anybody. We desperately need a manager wo can start planning now.
When I think of Bruce I just think of all the millions he wasted at Sunderland and for that reason - no thanks
We'd be extremely lucky to get Steve Bruce, he's not going to get the Wigan job as Whelan made it quite clear about him when he quit. Also can't see Martinez going to Liverpool either, maybe Villa for either of them or West Brom. I think it'd be a good appointment. As it stands everyone has something against all the candidates but whoever comes in will be supported regardless. Even if Barmby was still manager there would be people saying to get rid of him. It's a no win situation!
My biggest concern is that wherever he has been there has been a massive turnover of players year on year. He's constantly changing things. Who's to say he won't walk through the door, get rid of everyone and start again? Wouldnt trust the big fat dinner lady anywhere near our club!!
Have you read Whelan's autobiography? He said some things in the heat of the moment that he regrets and he'd welcome him back with open arms.
apparently burnsy has said that davies, manuel jose, clark, brown, and blackwell have not made the shortlist. please please please dont let it be greg abbott
