Don't think he'll enjoy working at Liverpool as much as at Wigan. But then again, it's a bigger challenge and he might just fancy it.

Such a great manager, who unfortunately might do good things at Liverpool. In honesty, I'd like to see Martinez here in 3-4 years when Pardew gets the England job prior to Euro 2016.

Seen it was trending on twitter and it was all just Liverpool fans saying they didn't want him.

If they don't get behind him he won't last long, which is a shame. A young tactically strong manager who can really get his teams playing, the polar opposite of dalglish.

Think he is a good manager, who kept Wigan up against all odds this year. Unfortunately this has one of two outcomes.
1) He makes them a force again
2) Fans don't give him a chance and he turns into another Hodgson.

I've highlighted the likely option

I don't want him to take the job. He's a genuinely nice bloke, and if he takes the liverpool job i'll have to hate him.

You could just not want him to do well instead of hating him. He isn't going to change as a person because of the team that he manages.

Whoever comes in will just have to lower the expectations and talk about Top 6 instead of CL ... I think that FSG will ignore their fans and give the job to Martinez or Hughes...
