Let me get this straight...

You think high earners have too many loopholes to not pay their taxes, so you want to make them pay less tax and make sure they can't contribute to charity to offset their taxbill.

You think the lowest earners shouldn't really pay any tax.

How do you make up the massive shortfall in tax revenue? You're incredibly stupid, are you sure you're not part of the current Tory cabinet? <doh>

I really don’t get why high earners should have to pay more tax. Why punish them. More common than not a higher earning job comes with more responsibility, more stress, more hours etc. why should people who have worked hard to move up their career ladder get punished for it?

Because if they don't pay more it means the poorer people have to, people who are already skint earning a pittance of a wage. And as for more hours that is bollocks, I've worked 70-80 hours a week,no breaks, pissing in a plastic bottle and eating while driving and still earned less than 20k a year while these ****s sit in their nice air conditioned offices.

Most of this is pie-in-the-sky bollocks which would never work, but what the ****, I'll vote for it anyway. Where do I sign up?

Thats why i said more common than not. i'm not saying everyone.......i do understand that there are people who work there ass off for very little. But you are also judging that everyone that gets a high wage sits in an air conditioned office. There should be a flat rate tax at a certain %. It means that the higher earners would still pay more than the lower earners but they all pay the same rate. **** it, i'll **** off back to Baku for a couple of years and pay no tax again.

Sorry I skim-read what you posted, I thought you said there should be %s at certain rates. The current system is the best, and all that needs to be done is more checks/laws when it comes to tax avoidance.

In France they're putting a 80% tax on the super-rich, now that's what I call serious taxation <ok>

So long as people are prepared to abandon things like hope, joy, and laughter, communism would work. It collapsed in Eastern Europe because it made everyone so bloody miserable. Equal, but miserable.
