Yh, really good finish. http://www.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2011-04-03-colorado-rapids-v-dc-united-nid328378 If you click 'GOAL: Folan's fancy footwork leads to goal (1:60)' you can see it.
MLS looks like such a poor standard. I've watched games before and you just think this is terrible. I reckon North Ferriby could probably beat most teams in the MLS.
Is this the best you can do Lambrini carp on about the size of the crowd....perhaps the weather had something to do with it...it was +30C the day before but -2C at the game!....and snowing...the crowd was just under 10,000 but they created a far better atmosphere than we did on Saturday !...and what does that tell you about the styles of play and their respective management styles ? ...but you utter not a word about Folan' s high quality performance never mind the goals.....your silence is deafening....give the lad credit when it is due...2 finishes of the highest class...the first a left footer placed in the far corner after he bewildered the defender and the second a towering placed header from a move he started on the half way line...oh we could do with him now ....to give the fans something to cheer about never mind give us much needed points....perhaps your senses have been numbed Lambrini by the dross we are served up with but have some generosity of spirit for an ex player of ours who always gave 100% for the cause....
Perhaps if you'd show me the common courtesy of not calling me by a childish name every time you post, I might respond.
I'm not taking away from him that both his goals were good finishes, but you have to admit the standard of the opposition is hardly brilliant. The slower tempo MLS will suit him I think. He always had potential to do well, I just feel he wasn't good enough in games and rarely performed to the standard required. I think he'll do well over there and good for him, probably boost his morale.
Trapattoni will b happy at least! How on earth is he an international footballer? Mind you he is in the same side as Mcshambles and Killer, so they dont have a great array of talent do they!
Desperation from the Irish, running low on forwards or friendlies where the good ones didn't want to play? he hasn't played internationally since 2009 when he got the last of his 7 caps, never know might get another if he carries on.
Of course you know better than Trapattoni....but he is an international footballer because he has the class he to score goals like he did last night....or did you not see them yet?
