Forecast Kenton Lancashire Bennet Molenyeux Gasmi Pulis Idiakez Smith Euell Paterson Subs: Miller Pekhart Hajto Thomson Wotton Never heard of Sarimiento!!
Sarmiento was on loan from some South American club I think. Not sure if he ever actually played. I thought Idiakez was quite good. He played a major role in the team that got into the playoffs.
I remember having high expectations of Idiakez when he came having been a stand out player in the Championship for a while before he joined, but I don't think he lived up to expectations. Not bad enough to get into the worst XI but not a player to stick in the memory for the right reasons either. The one time I met him he was a miserable sod as well, so maybe that clouds my memory of him.
I still cannot forget Folly and Jakobsson although I cannot remember if they left once we exited the Premiership. Obviously they are not in the same League as Bennett although I feel people criticising McGoldrick are being a bit harsh.

110 players in seven years, what a turnover. And as you say, many of them were ****e. Almost all the stand out players were ones we had on relegation or have right now, with the occasional 'diamond' amongst dross!
Can anyone imagine by some quirk Forecast having to play for us first Premier League game, and turning out to be brilliant?
Wouldn't have a clue, I copied it from SaintsWeb, I'll go take a lookie EDIT: Just ones that the SaintsWeb poster had forgotten about, so nothing big!
Having seen that list i would take Idiakez out and Jermaine Wright in, dunno how i forgot him, he was useless!
I have seen Forecast play. Under 21's against Eastleigh. He was truly bad, completely lacking in confidence. They took him off and brought on Jack Dovey for the second half. What a contrast, he is an exceptional young goalkeeper. So good that Eastleigh took him on loan for the season and on a fans' forum he is considered to be the best goalkeeper they have ever had. I hope we keep him as I think he would be perfect to take over from Kelv in a couple of years time.
The Echo reported it, Ian Baird was on about bringing him to Eastleigh permanently following his release
This is always going to be a problem. Assuming that a young player will eventually be good enough, how do we give them the experience to enable them to break through into the 1st team? Unless they are a Chamberlain or a Bale then it is tricky especially in the Premier League.
