I'm going to out a rumour on the website and see if anyone fangs it up over the next few days.

The winner (loser) for Summer 2011 was DTLW with my Craig Bellamy rumour.

Who will take the 2012 crown?

Eh? I don't remember any Craig Bellamy rumour!?

If you can point me in the direction of where I posted it please do!

I'll take him for next season please!

Try turning 'Sergio Romero to the Saints for 5m' into such a pervasive rumour that it happens.

I need to make a new rumour, my Shaqiri one won't work this year. As he is at Bayern :(.

I'd say we have three box-to-box midfielders already. If we sign anyone in the middle, I'd like to see a goal scoring playmaker. Obviously though that is the most expensive type of player.

None of our 3 our typical box-to-box players. Schneiderlin plays a deeper playmaking role. Cork just buzzes around and Hammond is neither one nor the other yet still isn't box to box. The nearest we have is Chaplow, we need someone with drive to compliment what we already have in the middle.

Michu would not be the player we need through the middle of the pitch. We need a box to box player like Reo-Coker. He isn't just defensive, he provides drive.

We've already got at least one or two box-to-box players in Cork and maybe Schneiderlin. Like said a billion times, we need someone to break forward, allowing Morgan to sit back next season and do what he does best - protect the back four and break up play.

Think we should get this guy <laugh>

Latest agent talk on twitter suggests we've put £4m on the table for Jarvis, and that Burnley have rejected our bids (one for Trippier, two for Rodriguez).

Latest Rodriguez bid was apparently £4.5m, less than the £5.5m we supposedly bid in January, and some way less than Burnley's £8m asking price. I wonder if we could tempt them with somewhere around £6m?

I can't really see us spending more than £5m on the guy tbh.

You mean like the Ebe Endocott rumour someone started last year? <laugh>

Didnt hear about that how far did it get... i really wanna see a rumour about a made up player get written up in an article would be so funny

How many goals has Reo-coker scored this season? his career? ....thought not.

Agreed, REO-COKER stats show that Bolton had a higher win percentage without him, and they lost a greater pecentage of games when he was in action.
Six players show up for Bolton on stats alone ... Petrov, Ngog, M Davies, Steinsson, Ricketts and Wheater ( I really like Wheater - stand out figures and still only 25 ).

Incidentally, Zat Knight ( who we have been linked with ) has absolutely awful figures. He really looks to be a liability on paper, which is all we have to go by, as none of us watch these lads week in, week out.

Stephen Hunt did very well for Reading when they were up, and whilst Wolves only won 17% of their games last season, that hiked up to 26% when he played, and they lost 70% of the time when he didn't. Probably the most impressive Wolves player on paper.

Matt Jarvis doesn't make for good reading. I really hope the rumours aren't true.

Yeah, just ignore the 7 goals and 5 assists from him in a side comfortably bottom of the league. He's their best player by a country mile.

It's so easy to take stats out of context. Jarvis is an excellent player.
