How come Tony Fernandes, owner of QPR (also malaysian and looking to exploit interest in malaysia presumably) hasnt done anything like this? if the gains were massive from re-branding red then surely he would be considering it? Perhaps he is considering it but it will also take him a few years to get round to mentioning it? We wont know until he does it/or not as the case may be.
We had one and turfed him out when his intentions became known. Tony Petty ring any bells? He was lucky to escape with his balls still intact. Also, unlike us during that period Cardiff City are currently a decent investment with a large fan base and a recent history of almost making the Prem on more than a few occasions. If the Malaysians don't want that then piss off and get someone in who does but who won't **** with your Club.
Get over it KJ. You are arguing for the sake of arguing. You are trying to suggest that everything about this is bad. There are two sides to every story. The Swans had a Dragon as their logo in 1973 for god's sake. You didn't die!! You have had kits that have had a lot of red all over them. Your club didn't die. You nearly died when you ran out of money....what does that suggest???
One thing I disagree with is the idea that it'll tear the soul out of the club. The fans are the soul of the club, and we're staying.
Siam, yes we nearly died when we run out of money during the Petty era. But look at us now, the fans took control and we built slowly and eventuaally the PL. it might only be for a short time but we have experienced it. What stops you retaining your identity, your brand, your history. Take the hit go into admin and start again. is watching maybe league 1 football that bad for a couple of seasons ansd comming back stronger that bad. Look at us , Norwich and now Southamton. We have all been ther and re built soundly and now all 3 are in the PL. that could happen to your club. you don't need to sell your souls to maybe achieve it. I am not sying this as a negative and for the sake of arguing but, i jsut think in the long run your club will be better from starting again.
Sorry, I don't want Cardiff City going into Admin to be the reason why loads of small suppliers go to the wall. It's not our thing.
And think of all the JB's who would be over us like a rash if that were to happen. The majority of other club fans commenting on here want the idiots to stop the Malaysian plan simply for them to glory in our misfortune.
