I got a life changeing job and my past has come back to destroy me!

10 years ago I got sacked for distributing xxx porn around my office, however I appealed the decision and won my case thus getting my job back. I left work soon after for a different role and have had success in numerous other work places.

Now is why I'm ****ed!!!!! I started my new job on Tuesday and looked at the company website in my spare time, it was at this point when I scrolled down to see who my bosses boss is. I almost died when I realised it was the lady that handled my appeal.

What should I do ? 1. kill myself 2. hope she doesn't recognise me or remember the incident or simply wait it out while looking for another role.<doh><doh><doh>

She can't do ****.

If she tells all the other employees about your past, you can file a complaint of harassment. Sounds pathetic but if she's gonna be a bitch, be a bitch back <ok>

Yes I considered this, however work places can be very sly about how they handle this type of this! they will just make my stay unpleasant and make me look **** at my job. 'm thinking I mght even just have the conversation with her and appeal to her better nature, however I don't know for certain that she has remembered me. When I'm introduced should be interesting and very uncomfortable.

Just continue like it never happened. Do not act awkward around her, pretend it never actually happened and do not hrdly acknowledge the significance her being there actually has and just knuckle down and do the job well and give it your best therefore fully sowing the seeds of doubt that the aforemetioned incident ever took place

Any rumours of your past that go around your job don't mean ****. It only exists if it's on paper. So just ignore her and the other employees with their judging stares.

She wont file any official document or anything notifying your employers of your past.

If it's just gossip, it means **** all. It only means a **** if it's on paper, and rumours and gossip aren't a good excuse for paper work.

You'll have to do deal with some awkwardness and probably being a bit of a loner at your work place due to people avoiding you, due to that bitch spreading **** about you, but just keep your head down, do your work, get the **** out of there, and your life carries on.

Most of my work colleagues are my complete opposite and conversation is impossible, and most of them think I'm weirdo, but w/e. Life with my work colleagues means **** all.

Well now, fancy that.

Ask her out on a date, get her smashed and film the ensuing depravity. Job jobbed! <whistle>

Note this is only my opinion and as such is v sarcastic so should be taken with a pinch of salt!!

Completely this. <applause> Wouldn't hurt to start looking for jobs in case the worst happens though.
