Anyone else reckon NP should have rested these two as they were both playing internationals (in Evans case 2 for NI) and were possibly jaded.. I mean it was Evans' first call-up..

as young as he is it must affect a player..

in hindsight Cariney would have proven fresher..

and if he needed to rest both we could have seen Akpan in the middle..

Interesting point. Thought he looked a bit tired and lackluster on the ball in the final 15-20 minutes - (Corry Evans has played 7 games for Northern Ireland though). Would like to see the young lad from Everton given a game, but then there's the loan numbers situation.

Say what you like, but Harper should have stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes in my view. He isn't anyone's star player, but today he was much improved; on a few occassions he intercepted the ball and stopped their attacks fantastically. Was better on the ball as well. Shame he made the mistake for Millwall's goal, but I would have had him over Evans during the final stages of the match

Agree about Harper. He was having a good game and was the most competitive of our midfield players.
I would have taken Evans or Koren off first.

Tbh for me we might aswell give that lad from Everton a game, we have nothing to lose really we might aswell give Devitt, Cairney, Cullen, Cooper(get him back), Chester, The everton Kid, just get players into the team we know will be here next year, get them gelling, see what works and see where we need to strengthen. Although i think NP like us knows he needs a new midfield really.

Akpan did very well in the reserves t'other week and he scored a bullet header...he will get a chace before the season is out but i think it depends on the number of loans in the squad at any time as to when he will get a go

I'd like to see Akpan get a run out, we might as well see what he can do and I don't think the loan numbers are an issue, he can replace Amoo, who looks fairly clueless to me.

He Played away in Serbia on Friday, then in Ireland against Slovenia on on Tuesday, it could have taken a bit out of him.
