I was responding to someone heralding him as one of the only players in our squad with top flight experience. It means jack ****.
Remember the party was a celebration for the club as a whole not the players, they had there moment on Friday night. Last night was about the people who work full-time for the Foundation, Academy, Ticket Office and so on. So the club were spot on only inviting 50 fans. Well Done Mr Cortese for organizing such an impressive event.
If you look at his form in the early part of the season just ended, it's understandable. He was a revelation. I remember watching TFLS one weekend when he'd played yet another great match, and Steve Claridge was astounded by him. He said he was unrecognisable from the player he'd seen in previous seasons, and to be fair, it was absolutely true. Since his injury he hasn't gone back to being that astounding player, but neither has he reverted to the rather ordinary player he was, previously. Obviously, his game is very dependent upon his fitness and strength. Technically, I don't think he's quite PL standard.

Someone on Twitter has posted some pictures for those not lucky enough to attend, and in there is a picture of Nigel singing/dancing to "Dancing Queen" - I am shocked. He's always so reserved!
