So the players, staff and 50 ST Holders were invited to SMS tonight for a Promotion Party under a marquee covering the pitch. From what I hear and see there was a red and white dance floor, disco balls, fine dining, entertainment and even some interviews. Someone at the event has said there has been no expense spared and Cortese and co. have thought of everything. Even Mr Chamberlain was invited! After the entertainment and partying, how did Cortese put the jewel in the crown? He simply doesn't have the quality. He's tenacious and hard-working, sure, and wins the ball back frequently, but he just doesn't have the touch of quality and composure that we need for the Premier League. Harsh but true.
Correct! But I'd keep him around for the time being. If we (God forbid) find ourselves back in the Championship he can be very useful again. Anyway, enough Chaplow talk! Don't want to take the thread off on a tangent.

Your opinion maybe, but a crass one imo. This lad has just helped us win two promotions on the trot, but you 'cannot wait to sell him' ! There have been games this season when he has been our best player - he hasnt been the same since his injury but even at Middlesbrough he was our most effective player until he got injured and came off. He may not be up up to Prem starting 11 standard, but surely he deserves a go next season, esp if he recovers from injury during the summer.
Your opinion, mine is that his touch is non existent, his passing is League One standard, his tackling is rash....

Should be a open day at St Marys. Saints vs a Saints legends for charity or something like it. Kinda sucks only 50 ppl celebrate with the team.
