The ****ing planks telling viewers the whole of the ball crossed the line when it didn't, just like the did in 2005.

Anyhow who cares....

We've won it 7 times <cheers>

Who said it crossed the line?

All I heard was people saying it was inconclusive. The ref simply can't give it if he's not sure, so the right decision.

This - ITV never said that it should've been a goal.

Anyway - consider that this was far more a goal that your 2nd against us and that this wasn't given yet yours was.

Oh but wait, the referees are all against Chelsea aren't they... <doh>

I would say that this effort was slightly more over the line than the one against you, when once viewed from a different angle that was released later showed that most of it had crossed the line. Still wasn't a goal and it was the wrong decision to award it, but it's not as bad as a decision as many people were making out. And I don't really understand why you would say that this one was more of a goal. It's either a goal or it's not.

Anyway, I can find you three other times when such goal line incidents have gone against us, one in another FA Cup final coincidentally.

I'm sure you can - and I could find some that have gone against us as well (such as the infamous Man Utd ghost goal that should've been given).

I was more pointing out the pointlessness of this thread - celebrate the cup win! Chelsea deserved the win overall (although Carroll was almost unplayable - not quite sure why Kenny didn't put him on earlier!)

i dont understand he was our captain?

He was , and yet any time its chelsea , to say he gives grudging appriciation is an understament, we are always either lucky, cheating laying crap etc etc he never misses a chance to slip a dig in . almost as bad as listening to alan smith

Didn't he fall out with Bates when he went to Villa? I can never understand why they let pundits commentate on their ex clubs. They're either fawning over them or bear a grudge. I have to say the most Unbiased I've heard is Gary Neville.

What does it matter what they say ! The whole world and his dog saw it, including the all inportant linesman and knows there was no daylight between the ball and the line! It just exposes their incompetence or bias--or both! At the same time I can understand how frustrating it must have been for Liverpool and their fans!

The debate has overshadowed the actual save, which is a shame. Cech did magnificent to keep that awesome header out.
