Yes they are very significant, the fact that the players didn't even know about it is a total farce.
The Pearson leaving and Barmby suspension must be linked. I can't see the Allams wanting to have both events on the same day because it points even more to their irrationality.
I don't think anybody suggests we should have broken the bank but spending a few million on improving our promotion chances would mean that the value of the club may increase and we could still be careful with spending next season if we got promoted and the Allams would have a positive cash flow.
Now it looks more like the club is on a downward spiral and if they sold the club they may only get £10m back. If they keep the club and try to blunder along they will lose more money. Would a good manager want to come here unless they were desperate? Who is better than Adam who wouldnt want a massive salary?

Not sure what you mean. The Allams were not likely to consult with the players before taking any action, and as far as I'm aware the awards started only a couple of hours (at most) after word got out so it wouldn't give the club the opportunity of explaining to the players.
As I say I'm not wanting to get into an argument. I'm one of those who are sitting on the fence for now until I get more information to enable me to come to my own conclusion.
Yes but they were in complete control over when the news broke, it was their news! The proper thing to do would be to explain to them all formally what was going to happen and then do it, the players shouldn't be finding out via the radio on their way to a City event.
I suspect that this was leaked to the media etc before the club were ready. Bear in mind that OLM did say that there were rumours that NB had been suspended in the early afternoon, so it was obviously leaked to him
So there's no possibility that the radio found out from Barmby tipping them off straight after the meeting then?
But I'm talking about the meeting itself. They shouldn't have had that meeting and sacked him without telling anyone. The players should have been told officially and to not tell them formally so they have to find out via the radio, and then on top of that not even confirm it publicly so that even when they do find it out they aren't sure, is just a ridiculous way to treat your players, and apparently we haven't even heard the worst of it yet!
How could they do that and stop Barmby telling the media before they told the players. The players wouldn't have been training they would have been getting ready for the dinner. I don't think locking Barmby in a room without a phone would be practical.
Really the more I read the interview the more comical it is - doesn' anyone else see it this way. The biggest point to come out of it for me is that they will be doing the negotiating of contracts with signings etc. Does anyone honestly think they will do a good job when all the time they are wanting "value for money" etc.
There's no way that anyone would tell the players first - they are the last to find out at any club.

It wouldn't have to be a big secret, just let the players know. As it turned out they had already done it by the time the awards came so there would be no need for any secrecy. Just let everybody know.
Valid point. But we don't know if his feelings at that time are typical of the rest of the squad, or whether Rosie has changed his view now. If we start getting transfer requests handed in left right and centre I would agree that a great deal of damage has been done.

I think Rosenior's comments are pretty worthless tbh.
If somebody comes up to him and says "Barmby's been sacked" he's hardly gonna reply and say "****ing good, useless ****". Not knowing if it was true or not, he couldn't really have said anything else.

Who says that AP and NB are the two most important members of the club staff? AP isn't on the club staff, he is an independent consultant. What exactly does he do? NB has performed to a standard that can best be described as "average" we are just above mid table with one of the bigest wage bills in the division (not his fault I grant you).
Some of the players are "reported" to be disgusted. Some may be pleased to see the back of AP and/or NB (Jay Simpson for example)
We don't know it was a fit of petulance (though at least one of the parties has a history of losing their temper with players). It's not a Fact it's speculation.

Yes they have said the club is not for sale. Yep, words again but the only proof you are going to get is that they don't sell the players and they don't sell the club. So far they've kept their word (and spent £50m doing so)
Neither AP nor NB have actually said they didn't get money in January. NB actually said he couldn't find anybody better than he had in the squad.
Yes, they say they are still interested in promotion, as they bloody well should be, as we all should be. Was AP? he actually admitted if he had been in charge in our promotion season, that he doubted we would have gone up. Now that's a fact for you.
