If we want any of your players we will take them, you have zero evidence to suggest this historically has not happened.

As for Fergie's mind games failing on Ancelotti - are you aware that we won the League last season and dumped Chelsea out of the Champions League? When has Harry Redknapp ever tactically outsmarted any of his counterparts? He's a joke with one pot to show for 40 years of work.

History suggest the opposite in fact. There are very few transfers between the clubs and the recent ones you have paid through the nose for.

That's all I have to say on a very poor WUM attempt.

Mancini's response was priceless: "And him? He doesn't talk with the referees or fourth officials - never."

The tiresome mind games may have worked on Wenger and Benitez, but they failed to work on Mourinho, they failed to work on Ancelotti, and now they failed to work on Mancini.

Mancini seems to be pulling some interesting ones himself. He's always sought to protect the team, Balotelli being the only active member of the team that I've seen him criticise, and is still trying to make United the favourites after denying there was any title race at all over the past weeks.

I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, but you're not in a financial position to do it any more.
Your neighbours are, so he might end up there.

Remind me, how did your offer of £20m + one random squad player for Van Der Vaart pan out in January? About the same as the various stories linking Bale and Modric to your lot for the last couple of years.

If your idea of "taking" a player involves the realisation you can't bully a player out of us and have to pay £15m for a player with one year left on their contract that we signed for a fifth of that price, or being the only kidnappers in history to pay a £30m ransom, you;re seriously behind the times. You don't have the money to meet our valuation, so your focus is on trying to bully players out of sides with no money - and Villa have more or less run out of decent players.

Remind me, how did the mind games work the season before?

When has Harry tactically outsmarted his counterparts? Often - he's good for outsmarting Wenger once a season, and he's outsmarted the likes of Dalglish and Pardew for 4-0 and 5-0 wins this season. Also, do you really think it's worth gloating about winding up that tactical genius Kevin Keegan?

Not bad for someone who doesn't consider intimidating referees to be a cornerstone of his managerial career...

what is it about people being called Terry behaving like abnoxious dikheds?

this is what happens when you are spoiled...when you face adversity at such short notice...you have a meltdown....because you dont know how to deal with it..and now you think you can take any player you want.....i dont know wether to laugh or tell you to fuk off...think ill do both.

<laugh> fuk off <ok>

Laughable! Either one of the worst wums on here, or a complete deluded dick head!

Liverpool are losing 1-0 to Fulham and Everton are beating Stoke by the same score.
Both were own goals. Unusual.

Fulham pick up their first ever top-flight win at Anfield.
Good for Martin Jol, not quite so good for the Grand Wizard, especially as it leaves the sides level on points.
Distracted by the upcoming cup final, I guess.

Have they just been ridiculously fortunate with the draws they've had in the cup rounds or have they just been riding their luck? Or is it both?

The beat Oldham, Man Utd, Brighton, Stoke and Everton in the FA Cup, although they were at home for every game til the semi-final.
Exeter, Brighton (again), Stoke (also again), Chelsea, Man City and Cardiff in the League Cup isn't a walkthrough, either.

As long as they manage to add Chelsea to the sides that they beat in both cups, I'm not too bothered! <laugh>

Chelsea - FA Cup

Bayern M. - CL

:)

...however, if the goons have a mare and blow 3rd, and we nick it leaving them 4th :D... " Blue is the colour!" :emoticon-0159-music ...or would we be happier Chelsea lost and the goons got CL?

Also, if Chelsea win the CL, that would mean no EL for 5th place...Toon maybe, that would be a shame aswell. :)

Depends - if the Chavs won the CL, would that mean Roman got his wish and he moves on? If so, come on Chelsea...and we'll be having a couple of your players in the summer fire sale. How about accepting £22m for Mata and Ivanovic?

If we had a prediction thread for tonight's Chav/Toon match, what would people go for? 2-1 (Torres, Mata, Cisse) for me. A draw or Toon win would be best for us.

Yes, unfortunately, The Chavs are on a run. Newcastle will do well to come away from there with a point. The main ray of hope is a certain cup final coming up on Saturday, which should certainly influence their team selection for tonight's game.

Chelsea will not win..they might be on fire but everyone seems to be underestimating Newcastle who have only lost twice at home this year and thumped United 3 nil at home....and the Toon have kept up a consistent level this season with no major slumps..they lost 4 nil to Wigan....that will have woken them up 2-2 or 3-2 Toon.
