The only reason people have to like Barmby is that he's from Hull, he's shown little promise of being a decent manager.

Sorry but that's utter bollocks. For a guy who's just come into management, an 8th place finished isn't bad going. There's things he needs to work on but I don't think anyone expected him to become a managerial genius over night. He was showing the right signs of ambition at the end of the season to have a squad that would push on next season and in time I'm sure he will learn from the knockbacks this season and become a better manager for it. Think you're being overally harsh on him.

I do think though people should see what Barmby has or hasn't done, what's going on with the ownership, and who the manager is before they decide that this is something they're not going to renew over. It would be rather embarrassing to have a big moral objection to it, and then find out for example that Barmby had effectively been tapping players up, so the club had suspended him to distance us from any FA punishments and we'd found out because of a comment he made to the press, so had to suspend him whilst it was investigatedand that's why we couldn't comment further at the moment.

You're looking into that comment way too much. He said he just needed the green light from the Allams but he didn't say he had already agreed or even discussed contracts with anyone. He's a totally honest guy and always makes a point of not talking about other clubs' players, I can't think of anyone less likely to be tapping players up.

Of course I'll be renewing my season pass, this is nothing. The only reason people have to like Barmby is that he's from Hull, he's shown little promise of being a decent manager.

This doesn't even register as a blip on the travesty radar compared to Brown, and if I got a season pass after that then I don't think there's any circumstances in which I won't get one.

<doh>..

Unfortunately, we could be taken over by an asset stripping Leeds fan and i think i would still turn up week in, week out to watch this club.

If you feel you don't want to put money into their back pockets fair enough, don't buy a club shirt, or programme or something but turn up and sing your heart out, as those players on the pitch are their to get three points no matter who the owners are.

I'm the same, I don't pay for my own pass yet, but I'm sure that even if I'm poor when I graduate it will always be one of the highest priorities on my expenses column. I'd much rather make savings elsewhere if necessary, City is my biggest hobby and I really don't know what I'd do without a team to watch every Saturday.

To have that snotty nosed little bastard of a kid Ehab fire him was toally disrespectful I'll be in Hull this August and will be seeing my friends but I'll be damned if I give one penny to them money grabbing ****s. I'm totally ashamed of my club for the first time in 40 years and I think these pratts make David Lloyd look like mother theresa

It was one of many ideas I've put out there tonight, but you're rarely going to get someone who does tap players up on the sly being someone who does talk about them in public. I am drawing a distinction between going to the press to unsettle a player and arranging face to face meetings with players you shouldn't be.

If I weren't buying a season ticket in order to not give money to the owners I'd do away games instead. (I used to do both, but from up here it would cost me too much, especially now while I'm a student)

Don't give that idiot the time of day...

I've been paying for my pass since 1st Jan - I would renew even with these amateurs in charge - should I be in the Directors box at Bramall Lane next season I will however have a few choice words to say to them..

If the Allams want to carry on like this then they can expect the fans to react accordingly, I can barely afford to go as it is so unfortunately they are setting me a precedent with their actions- could be that the Tigerplayer will be how i watch City next season and go to the occasional game, you can't treat the supporters of a club with contempt and expect people to just tolerate it.

For the second year running I won't be having a pass (though as I attended over a dozen league games this year, plus Macclesfield and Crawley in the cup, paying for a pass - and thus twice as many games - would have been cheaper :emoticon-0112-wonde). However, I just couldn't find it within me not to go if the opportunity was there for me to attend. Watching Hull City just means too much to me, to the extent that I'd probably blindly give my money to the Allam's without considering what adverse effect/s it could have long-term.

I think it would be jumping the gun hugely to consider changing your mind about a season pass at this early stage - or, in fact, at all.

I won't be renewing but I never was - I'm off to Uni so it's pretty self-explanatory.
If I was still residing in Hull however I can't imagine any circumstance where I'd ever consider not renewing. Let's be honest, the "protest" would have next to no effect because not enough people would actually go through with it.

I do wonder how many previously former Man Utd fans jumped into the whole FC United of Manchester bollocks before heading back to Old Trafford with their tails between their legs.

Regardless of who's in charge or what event may occur, if you're a true fan then you won't give up just because some rich bloke is a ****.

I agree. Too few people care that much about us that they'd protest. We haven't got the same fanbase as Man United, Leeds or even Blackburn.

Certainly none of those who actually go to watch them. I went to one of their games last year and spoke to a few FCUoM fans, and if you'd done the same you'd realise there's no chance of them ever going back whilst Glazer remains!

Regardless of who's in charge, who's the manager, what style a team deteriorate to (ie Stoke) if you're a true fan then you won't leave just because some rich bloke is a ****

<ok>

True, but if you don't feel your actions would be supporting the club any more then you wouldn't be giving up supporting the club if you stopped, as has been the case at times in the past.

I didn't necessarily mean that - I just think that most people would rather attend matches regardless of ownership as opposed to not seeing us at all. Ie most people, like myself would be pissed off at the Allams' but it wouldn't be enough for me to consider sacrificing a season pass.

I'm quite surprised that so many kept that stance to be honest. I imagined that it would be a temporary protest before they realised that it wasn't going to make the slightest bit of difference to the club. Especially when they're stuck watching Kendal Town as opposed to Man City <laugh>

From a big enough supporter base you only need a tiny % to make a significant crowd at a lower level, and I think there's just about enough people in the world who'll stand by their principles for things like that to appear to work well when they're inconsequential in the grand scheme of things..

And I take my hats off to them. I'm afraid I have to hold my hands up and say that there's a pretty fat chance that I'd stick to that unless something absolutely unimaginably ludicrous occurred.

If I want to complain or protest about something, but know that no matter what I say or do will make the slightest bit of difference then I don't take any sort of action. Except to mutter away to myself that is <laugh>

Clearly they are not idiots, but today's events really does beg the question. When that pass renewal form comes through - they can go **** themselves.

Anyone else?

When it comes to football and running a football club they are BOTH IDIOTS. Without Adam Pearson the club is in a right old mess. Allams know about as much about football as TWF does about brain surgery. Its not just my season passes that are on hold but my entire sponsorship package. Allams OUT.
There ive said it. Feel better now.
