I think we're overreacting to losing an unproven manager and an incompetent "Director of Football Operations" who was doing **** all and wanted to leave at the end of his contract anyway.

Once again, the biggest fear for Hull City fans is the unknown.

I don't think people are overreacting at all, Nick may be unproven but he was showing ambition in wanting to improve the squad and didn't do bad at all for his first few months as manager. This situation unsettles the club and people are right to be worried, especially if you consider the implications it could have with the playing squad. As with Pearson, I know you don't like him and you're welcome to your opinion, but you'll find few who will agree with you on it.

As much as I love Nick and would give my left bollock to see him succeed as our manager, there are better managers available (wow that was hard to say)

Dont get me wrong, with decent financial backing I know he would be successful.

But yeah for the manner in which they have dealt with Nicky they need to **** off.

Ive said it time and time again and constantly have to point out that the Mirror are second to none when it comes to scoops about City. I'm not saying they're right here but an insignificant error (it doesnt matter what relations they are in the context of this story) written in a quickley run online story does not mean the story is bollocks.

If that stories is right about Billy Davies then he would be a great choice for you. The only thing is he got screwed over by the Forest board and if he thinks the same will happen at Hull then i doubt he would want to go there.

It all seems rather ironic when The Allams have accrued 140 million quid since last year, a manager has been essentially sacked regarding an argument about money. I don't condone the Duffen era economics, but clearly they must see that to be competitive in the championship you need a 1-2 million investment in the squad on transfer fees and signing on fees per year minimum. To be honest I don't think Nick was even asking for that much.

I can see that they feel Nick undermined them, but would a quiet word rather than a public trial have made more sense? It's a pretty bad PR disaster, not sure even Malcolm Tucker would fix this one. Getting rid of a City legend puts the fans against the Allams, which makes a bad atmosphere at the club and a less cohesive squad in terms of morale. Add to this players like Koren who have stated the owners need to invest and you have some unhappy players who may feel a move in the summer is the best option. I'm not actually sure what the Allams could have done that would have been worse at this moment in time for the prospects of the club in the short term.

Oh, and for my twopenneth I actually dont mind that Nick has been sacked as I think he's done a pretty poor job to be honest. What worries me are the motives. If the Allams had come out and said it was for football reasons I'd have been fine with it, this however makes them look a bit mental.

Chester is going to Leicester?
I reckon that's just lazy journalism. He's picked up on the fact that Leicester offered £1.5 million for one of our players (Stewart) and couldn't be ar5ed to check so guessed at Chester. Nothing new.

He worked miracles with Derby and Forest in this league with no backing from the board

Midlands teams are no bench marks for football. Nobody takes them seriously.

I repeat before I was so rudely and boringly interrupted by the daft wummer...**** Davis.

As much as i dont like them Forest have won the Europeon cup twice. And that was back to back something no teams can manage to do since they changed it to the champions league so you cant say you cant take them serious

Did I just say that?

Good point, good manager, but a replacement is not at the top of my mind, I want to know what is REALLY going on behind the scenes, we may be in the **** again and it could be very severe regarding administration or worse...

I dont think you will find out anytime soon. Maybe even never

Nicky Barmby isnt going to slag the club off and the owners arent going to want to cause more up roar from the fans so they will keep quiet

A lot will come down to how long it takes the Allams to get rid.

If we're stuck with them until September then we're screwed, plain and simple.
If we get rid of them by July then we should be fine.
