Has anybody on here quit smoking?
If so do they have any helpful tips?
The unflavoured gum's disgusting and I need an alternative.

Is my problem mate. I adore them, but studying in London's a ridiculous way to live, in a financial sense. Especially with summer coming up. Belt needs to be tightened. When I'm finished and working full time again I'll be back on them faster than lightning.
Can I suggest cutting down on food?
Tabs are a hunger represant...
I can try that. As soon as I graduate I'm going to try to move abroad to work for whichever agency advertises Lucky Strikes or Camels in some backwards country where it's still allowed.
Free tabs. Jack pot.
I've been paying £7.89.
Three euros for Lucky Strikes in Brussels for me. It's all gone wrong. So terribly wrong.
Me and wife both stopped together after 20 yrs of it. She'd had pleurisy for the second time so we went cold turkey.
Had the last one after tea on Fri night and tolerated it overnight. No socialising over the weekend and kept ourselves occupied with housework, window cleaning, car polishing, anything to keep our hands and brains busy. Virtually became hermits until Monday worktime. After that it was all uphill for a couple of days with sore throats mouth ulcers etc but by Wed felt a change. Still a struggle for about 10 days but then never thought about or craved for one.
That was in 1978 and we gained tremendously leading to new furniture and replaced the car. By today's finances reckon we gained about 60-70quid a week.
