I get the feeling that as we are now safe (with QPR being stuffed out of sight at Chelsea) that we might well loose both remaining matches. Losing to Arsenal would have been predictable even if we were playing at our best, but the squad look complacent of late so losing to Aston Villa is also on the cards as they may be fighting for their Prem lives by the time they come to CR. Very disappointing results over the past few months played 11 lost 7 won 2 drawn 2. This is relegation form. I can see Ward, Drury, Tierney, Willbraham and possibly Jackson leaving or being loaned out.
Tierney was our best player before he was injured!

Torres is my hero!
'Oh well it took Torres a season to find those goals'. No more like your gutted his not playing for you and money was wasted on Carroll. As for the players not sure on Morison, I prefer having all round forwards with pace and power.

hmm, doesn't tick many of those boxes does he![]()
My departures would be... Barnett, Ward, Drury, Crofts, Lappin, Wilbraham, Martin & Morison
For me it would Ward, Barnett, Drury, Chris Martin, Wilbraham, Crofts, Lappin, Korey Smith.
No not really a lot of people comment on his attitude but his first touch is what lets him down in my eyes. If he had that an extra yard of pace he would have a lot of goals.
One thing I have noticed with our forwards is we lack a partnership a lot of clubs these days like having one star forward but I'd be interested to see if we can find players that will compliment Holt, Jackson did really well last season but I'm not sure at the moment.
Holt plus Jackson or Vaughan, would love to see that for a run of 4 or 5 games, more if we get the lions share of the points from those games or a respectable points total depending on the opponents for those games. That's because PL wont play 4-4-2 often enough and likes to persevere with the diamond and one striker or sometimes (like yesterday) a 5 man midfield and one up front - I've been saying it for months and frequently getting shot down!Holt plus Jackson or Vaughan, would love to see that for a run of 4 or 5 games, more if we get the lions share of the points from those games or a respectable points total depending on the opponents for those games.
Lets just take today to celebrate the massive achievement of surviving in the premier league with 2 games to spare. The summer is the time for getting bogged down in transfers, today is for showing appreciation for all the months of hard work that have led to this moment.
Let's give Paul and the boys some credit for all they have done.

DM - the players that I listed are just not going to be good enough for next season, its clear as day and they need to be improved upon. I'm not expecting them all to go but thats who I would get rid of. As my other article says, we have to be realistic for next season!
