Need a bit of help here. I mentioned to the wife last night that I was thinking of buying a season ticket for me and my Dad. Cue a deathly silence when the figure 0f £1100 was mentioned. Even though her father and brother are rabid Fenerbache fans(shes Turkish by the way) she could not understand why I had to buy season tickets. I tried explaining that as my Dad is 77yrs old it was a chance for me and him to bond before he shuffled off this mortal coil but it was to no avail. She told me to give her one good reason why I should have the tickets. I only have one chance here so I need one hell of a good reason!!! Any help is much appreciated.... Thanks Kev..<confused>

Just say it's been invested in a very safe place, probably better as a season ticket that have it rotting in a bank.
Also mention that it works out cheaper to get a season ticket than to go single prices.
:)

This is exactly what happens when you let your wife out of the kitchen.

She has developed a false sense of power which needs to be eradicated through strenuous cleaning and making of sandwiches/bacon.

Only then do you stand a chance of getting your season tickets.

You know what, F**k it. I`m just going to do it. F**k the consequences. Whats the worst that can happen?? Its our ten year anniversary this year. I deserve a medal and a season ticket methinks.. That sounds like another THREAD TITLE..

There you go, say the season ticket is your wedding anniversary present you can't go by yourself and good to spend time with your dad. Then thrown in "PPPFFFTTTT after all your mum doesn't have a problem with your dad having a Fenerbach season ticket"

Unless your in serious financial **** and can barely afford to live, then there is no excuse.

good lad you want the tickets you get the tickets. stay strong. the only boss of you is you.

A girl after my own heart, that's the way to do it.

That or she buys them, hides them in her wardrobe and when I ask about then says "Those? I've had them for ages" which is technically true cause they've been hidden away from me for that long!!!

Buy them, and just ****ing deal with the nonsense afterwards. That's how I do things and it always works out fine, with the occasional barmy...

A great example being 2010 I told my partner I might be going to Vegas wth my friends. She was not happy about it. I booked the tickets anyway. She was unhappy with it to say the least. But 2 years later and she is still around, I've been to Vegas and don't have any STDs.
I guess my message is, if it's meant to be, she will stick around.

Go for it, I was so proud when I had my season ticket, but living in Donny it just cost too much over the course of a season for 2 of us.
Never let them go once you get them, they're your seats now

Tell her you bought them in a sale and so have saved you both £100s of punds - she'll be able to relate to that. She's probably spent that much in 'sales' over the years, just not in one go!
