Apparently we are interested in Jack Stephens Plymouth's 17 year old 'wonderkid' defender/ defensive midfielder, who has had interest from Premier league clubs including Fullham and Sunderland. He's at the club for the rest of the week to get a feel for things. Great news if he signs (he's and apprentice so doesn't need to be in the transfer window) and ã125k is apparently the price. Thoughts? Especially from Argyle supporters would be nice
Why don't we just save the money and wait for them to go out of business, then we can sign who we want from them on a free?
With us letting a few go at the end of the season or earlier in some cases it seems we are already getting a few lined up as replacements. This lad has a reputation so may be a good option for us.
Would be brilliant for you, good future heard good things about him, He could become a asset for you's.
Looks like he's signing!! http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/paf...NS-SAINTS/article-3401638-detail/article.html
I can see it now... Champion's League final 2015 with Fonte & Martin as the rocks in the centre of our back line, and Jack Stephens has to come on for Fonte and scores with a header in the last minute to win it!
Another quality young lad - sounds good. I'm hoping we can pull out a good pre-season to give these lads a break!
Sounds like he has a bright future ahead of him this lad, read some thoughts from a few plymouth fans on a diffrent board, say he's very assured on the ball.
Got confused between you and "WhiteRoseTiger" cos you both have the same avatar But yeh, sounds promising especially if Fulham, Newcastle and Sunderland wanted him at the age of 17. Good buy, and shows our attraction and potential.
I got really worried when they said Jack was having a medical. Don't know what happes in that room, but frequently they are never seen again. You don't think Rickie eats them do you?
Oh come on, do we really want another team to go out of business? We are getting the lad on the cheap as it is and if that helps keep them going then so be it. Quite a feather in our cap I gather, especially him turning down other Premier clubs to join us.
I agree with Beddytare. We had to have a clear out sale not long ago and we lost some good players. Whilst we are not a charity, I want us to be fair.
Spot on Fran, lets just hope he's as good as he's hyped up to be. Adding more talented youth to the the talent we already have, happy days. ps like the new Avi Beddy COYR
