Call The Police is a total monkey and should never be backed!

I agree Zen. It was also a bad race. The novices look at this stage to be a very average lot. The reason I rate the RSA better is you have two Cheltenham specialists fighting things out in the RSA and I invariably prefer to see that with future Festivals in mind.

Nah, only had a small bet last night at 16's. It's just staggering that a horse that is obviously fancied can run that badly, what chance do we have?!?!?

I'd have loved to have seen Excelebration v Canford Cliffs last year. I do think that CC is the better horse but with that 3-y-o allowance it might have been a real close one.

    Funny time of the season.

O'Brien talking up Henrythenavigator's progeny. It's begun already.

'we have ten and 5 are well above average'
    'they look incredibly speedy'
    'bullshit, bullshit, bullshit'

    You've got to love him.

I thought Excelebration was OK, but nothing more. He's sure to improve for the outing but I wouldn't be fancying him to beat Frankel just yet. Imagine what Frankel would do to Croisulton and Windsor Palace! :bandit:

    What he actually meant was:

"Listen, we knew Nephrite was going to be a sprinter but we thought we'd start him off over 7f because the boys knew that you'd think he'd win so we could all lump on Requisition to beat him. Listen, now we've got the money we'll drop him back to sprint trips which was always the plan. Listen, we can't pull off the same trick again so there would be no point in trying".

Do you think they'll even bother taking him on Zen. It could be a lot more rewarding to build up those G1s Frankel doesnt go for both in terms of prize money and making him a more attractive stud prospect

Midnight Macarena will go well here fellas, not harshly treated and will love the conditions. Improving now facing fences!

You have to remember that Coolmore don't mind Frankel, as a son of Galileo, scooping up the prizes. No idea whether they'll take him on but it seems the 'obvious choice'. I don't suppose they mind propping up Frankel's reputation and then winning all the mile races when he steps up to 10f.

Regarding the Gigginstown staying chasers, I'm fancying Quito de la Roque to run a big, big race this week. His 3rd to Synchronised in the Lexus doesn't look too shabby now does it?

Quite De La Slow you mean Oddy? I must confess that it will be a big anti-climax if he wins it. I need to see who turns up but I'd be hoping that he wouldn't be the winner.

I recall him really blooming this time last year though Zen - winning at Aintree and Punchestown. To be fair, he's only been beaten twice over fences. I think he's got the slow tag from when he was burnt off by Sizing Europe but he did come back to nab him on the line. I also think he's better on a sounder surface. Be interesting to see what price he is.

Edit: Just looked at Oddschecker and he's fav for the Punchestown Gold Cup. Bit disappointed at tha, 7/2 isn't much of a price.

Those Aintree and Punchestown races were piss poor though. At the end of the day, Synchronised made him look slow on good ground, and that has to be a worry because Synchronised isn't fast.

Captain Chris appeals to me far more at 5/1 than QDLS at 7/2.
