Its very hard to get Rock Salmon at the chippy these days too AND skate wings are impossible to track down. As a kid my Nan used to give me 50p and I'd go and get my Grandad's tea from the chippy in Hillingdon. Rock Salmon chips and a wally. Nowadays for the price of a large haddock & chips I can get a return flight to Spain! Yorkie bars used to be massive but a tiny now. Can you still get those ' monkey nuts ' in sweet form? I used to pop along to the sweetshop under the flats in Bloemfontein Rd and buy a quarter of them for 10p. If I was really daring I'd go all out for a 10p mix with flying saucers, blackjacks and chocolate cigarettes.
