I am getting very low on suede chukka boots and would like to ask my brothers and sisters their preferences on this essential partner for a dapper cravat. I am currently on a Jones version but love the Clarks originals. Has anyone else got any good brands?
Colour : prefer natural suede as I dye them anyway to match my eyebrows which are currently tartan

Tartan? And I always thought you had bluewhite hooped eyebrows!

I know the guy you mean - blue and white hoops in his hair!

Hasn't managed the same in his goatee though

Obviously even more committed than Marc Bircham!!

Kinell! Coral Bay eh Dave. Beautiful. Sooperhoop was there recently. My grandparents moved there upon their retirement and we spent endless summers there when I was young. It was unknown and undeveloped then. Are you staying in the big hotel or apartmenting? As you drive along the road with the beach on your LHS and make a left toward the hotel, the house we stayed in is on the right hand corner. If you see a odd looking dark haired fella in it's grounds, tell him his nephew says hi. Have a great time.

Frankly TBGWTDT / FJ / JP I favour the tan dealer boot with jeans. So much more practical than suede especially after a long lunch

Good skills however I was born with those on with my gypo/farming heritage ...art school changed me and **** me do I still get ribbed for that
I agree that the suede is a monkey to keep in spec and maybe I should return to my roots
Got a pair of DM's from Neal's yard early this year but they aren't the same as they was ... What's going on?

Hmmm... Peyia... Definitely used to go there, can't remember much about it though. One strong memory is of a restaurant called Fivos. Not in coral bay, but not far away. Ask around. May or may not still be around. You sit outside under lemon trees and you don't order, you get given an endless stream of meat, fish etc. It was a long time ago that I was there, but I remember it being incredible.

I live to serve. As long as they have the right size you never need to go to a shoe shop again. Country brogues a personal favorite.

Caramac - when I first started going to Rs my old man would get me one on the way to the game ( after his own refreshment break in the Thatched House Hammersmith, which was like going into a diseased lung in those days). Not only are they smaller, they don't taste the same.

Amazed that Cerny hasn't tried to close this down yet.
