Johnathon Bond has been playing well in League One.

Would be interested to see if he could step up to the Championship. Not sure if he would realistically be played over Loach though. Similar scenario to how Loach took over Lee though I guess..

I think that's a good analogy. Even at 18 Loach was clearly a bright prospect, that said Bond is a brighter prospect yet. Not writing Scott's career off by any means though: at 23 Ben Foster for all his obvious potential had only had one good Championship season.

To be serious...

Sean Dyche has admitted that it may be tricky to hold on to Murray during the summer. But he has so much potential at such a young age that he cannot be undersold. If Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is worth 15 million (including add-ons), then I don't think Murray is too far below that figure.

Well lets compare the two.

AOC- 36 appearances, 9 goals, 8 U21 Caps, 4 goals.

SM- 17 appearances, 6 goals, 10 U19 caps, 2 goals.

So not too different there. Both are attacking midfield players, or wingers if you like. The main difference is the club at which they play/ed. Murray is only at little old Watford where you can offer tuppence for their best player and it be ok. Where as AOC was at Southampton where you have to be realistic and offer a decent amount.

Ipswich have a keeper as their number one priority and could be interested, but I suspect the value he has now is greatly decreased. Remembering that the club still has to raise money for the bonds, unless we are about to get Silvio Berlusconi join the board, then I don't think that Scott will raise enough.

A bit like Paul Furlong and David James whose sales helped pay for the Rookery and the North Stand!

I would suggest that it was the rent we plundered from Wealdstone that contributed most of the cost of the Vicarage Road Stand - so much so that in some quarters it was referred to as the Wealdstone Memorial Stand.....

If there's an offer or two around the £10million mark for Murray then we should at least consider it.

Kevin Affleck late of WO fame, is claiming that three different sources confirm that takeover talks are underway due to Baz feeling that his pockets are not deep enough.

Well obviously I am not liking the one about Murray. He might pay for a shiny new East Stand though.

He won't be leaving this summer, and i suspect we'll have him for the whole season, though holding on in January might be tougher.

We're talking about the club that paid a very good fee for Priskin (I think Keane looked at his post-Christmas goal tally rather than whether he was the right player for the right job), and didn't make Ellington take much of a pay cut.
