I think his being called up will make SAF not want to sell but dont think he has a place for him right now. All points to further season loan deal and we keep Henderson.

I'd be happy with another loan deal, in that time we can continue searching for the next Bent (i.e. a goal machine), whilst having very good backup.

I don't want to see Hendo leave at all at minute. If anything he's underrated. Far too much pressure on from the fans for him to be something he isn't (all action midfielder, not the finesse player he will become).

The boy is only 20. To write him off would be foolish.

Wilshere is younger and a worth more IMHO, how long are we supposed to wait for this magical transformation in Hendo.
If Fergie offered just Welbeck for Hendo I would snatch his hand off.

I think Henderson is worth more than Welbeck personally mate, maybe Welbeck and 5 Million.

Don't want to see Henderson leave either. Rating Welbeck higher doesn't mean anyone is writing Henderson off. Straight comparison between the two? Welbeck wins.

i have to say, i find comparisons with wilshere to be a bit misleading. wilshere is already an outstanding player, and looks like he will become one of the best in the world. just because henderson isn't yet at his level, and even if he never gets close to it, it doesn't make him a bad player. leo messi is the best forward in the world, and you could say gyan is a similar type of player to him. is gyan as good?? not even close. but does that make gyan a bad player?? not at all. wilshere is an excellent player, but that doesn't make him a barometer for henderson, or any other young midfielder, english or otherwise.

Great points, and couldn't agree more.

Roger, Like you I scan every publication on line, but find that most of the articles are groundless, sometimes I am elated, other times it brings me down, alcohol has that effect on me also, but if we can keep Henderson and buy Welbeck,,,,,,,happy days, noticed Brucie keeping schtum over both options, as is S A F. but interesting anyway.
