Watched it He is quite analytical during this interview and his quote on "won't say they deserve it" follows a review of chances created On chances created during the match you could argue Celtic deserved to go through....but if your auntie was your uncle and all that Considering he felt he was done out of a penalty it seems to be a very calm and respectful interview
a lot being made of this - so let me sum up because i am clever... 1. lennon was ott - yes the penalty was soft, yes we COULD have had one....but he didnt need to react like that - its too far and he should apologise 2. managers and footballers should not use twitter - context is a nightmare - tbh i thought lennon was relatively decent in his comments to celtic fans acknowledging their right to their opinion - what he should not do is reply to rangers fans - it just comes across as childish 3. i have met him a couple of times outside football and he was an absoloute gentleman 4. there needs to be daylight for an offside decision! 5. the point about other spl managers doing similar things is entirely correct - smith was at times as bad (certainly early days - see chic young interview), mclean a million times worse! when it is lennon it is blown out of proportion - that is absolute fact - the cameras have "lennon watch" on live games thses days - who else has that? The offside rule states that if a player has a part of his body, that he can legally score a goal with, closer to the opponents goal line than the 2nd last defender when the ball is played then he is offside. Going by that, Hooper was clearly offside. No need for sunlight between the attacker and the defender It should have been 1-0 to Hearts before they got their penalty.
And before Hearts went one up ,Ian Black should have been sent off TWICE , show his challenge on Ledley , plus our two ordering offs at Ibrox . To a 100 neutral referees ( non scots ) and ask them which was the most obvious sending off 95% would go for Black's challenge . Then 2 minutes later he clearly handles the ball .
It's ok to go by the letter of law ( rangers fans comments after recent Ibrox game ) when it's against Celtic , yet in a semi final it's ok for the referee to turn a blind eye to a clear sending off .

I've not seen the challenges from Ian Black, but would agree completely that he's a right dirty bastard and has no place in modern football. However, I did see the picture Ledley posted of his cuts. I honestly get worse than that most Sundays and I consider it as part of the game. Doesn't help that I throw myself into challenges like a nut.
