I've never seen us linked with a move for Jason Morrison, Sheffield United have an option to buy(which they won't exercise if they go down) and he's been on trial with TWS. I'd rather we went for Steve Morison to partner Fryatt, Danns in the middle is quite likely and I'm sure we'll look at a new left back.
I thought you meant the Morrison at West Brom, but now you've moved him up front i'm guessing the Millwall striker. He's the type of striker we need and would add a bit of height to the side, but don't think we'll get him. Hoping we go for Danns and Greening, as well as the loanees named above, then i'll be happy. In the long term we'll need a new LB but Dawson has a couple of seasons left in him yet in my opinion.
Could just get some cover for dawson incase of an injury or suspension at least then we have the option
I don't expect Dawson to be our first choice left back next season, nor do I expect Harper to be in the starting XI. Despite Nige's recent protestations.
Main priorities are keeper and shipping out Bullard. All the signings I suggest are permanents; as lets be honest we cant predict Pearsonââ¬â¢s loan signings but these will be very welcome additions to the squad in any position if the past is anything to go by. KeeperHard to suggest who we will sign atm, I donââ¬â¢t think it will be Vtio so will wait and see but this is our No1 area to improve I think. Defence Starting line up: Rosenior Gerrard Chester Dawson Signings I would like: Gerrard, Hobbs, young left back to shadow or even replace Daws. Out: Macca I would like to see Cooper back and get more of a run out playing the Hobbs role if we donââ¬â¢t sign him which atm I think is unlikely as much as I would love it to happen. I think it is realistic to sign Gerrard and if so I would be very happy to go in with that starting def next season Midfield Starting line up: Stewart Koren/Olifiniana Evans Devitt Signings I would like: A better left winger to replace Devitt ideally, this move allows Koren to play to his strengths down the middle, Harper replacement Out Bullard, controversial but I would also like Cairney out for a decent amount of money or him to be given more of a chance. Ideally keep Seyi O but i think he will also be off. I feel our current style and play in midfield also lends its self quite well to Oli back but I cant see it happening so I went for the above which can obviously change with Koren out wide with Harper/replacement in the middle. Ideally the suggested line up with Devitt or loanee/perm Up top Starting line up: Fryatt, Mclean Signings I would like: Waghorn from Leicester, maybe Zoko from Carlisle target man apparently being tracked by numerous clubs. Out: Cullen on loan Strikers I am worried if Fryatt stops scoring we would struggle with Mclean or Simpsons goals so would like another striker in the squad I chose Waghorn as he is a UNIT with real pace, and shone under Pearson at the Foxes. Thoughts?
I'd settle for Guzan if we couldn't get Mannone but I think he could be the next Harper type scapegoat if things go wrong so not sure if he would work out. In defence I'd try to get Gerrard or failing that Hobbs, as Pearson gets the best out of these players. Midfield- Harper will never win the fans over so they need to find a holding midfielder who will fit in, but no idea who would that be. We need a couple more wingers and hopefully Pearson can pull a few more Cameron Stewart type rabbits out of the bag in that regard. Up front we need another striker , Mclean has the potential but for me he seems too rush things a bit at the moment, thats something for the coaching staff to work on. I'd worry too that he could turn into a Harper type scapegoat for the moaners. Simpson could pull up trees next season with a full pre-season to work with the coaching staff and Fryatt, we could have a real live-wire on our hands if they sort him out.
Mannone won't come, I doubt Gerrard will and Ayala could come on loan but I'd wager he'll go to a bottom-end Prem side, or possibly La Liga or Serie A.
I would like to see : GKs: Mannone (4th choice plus Arsenal want a top class keeper so they SHOULD let him go, under ã1m) and maybe this German 'keeper on trial as backup (I suspect he'll be a free?) Defence: Ayala(Under ã1.5m, if not Hobbs) Gerrard(Swap for Oli) Another Nigel wonderkid would be nice but dawson would be fine. With versitile subs in Chester and Cooper. Midfield: Stewart Evans (ã500k or less, bieng down the pecking order at Man. Utd) Akpan (If his trial is succesful) and/or Danns (Is he out of contract is summer?) Fast LW like Stewart. Any Ideas? Forward: Morison (May have to pay a noticable sum) and a pace merchent like Shane Long.
No, Ayala is out of contract next summer, and even when he is he's not going to be free as he's under 24 so Liverpool will still be due compensation.
greg cunningham (who broke his leg in a challenge with rosenior) would be an ideal left back to sign in my eyes.
