    The way their finances are looking, it could be academic whether they are relegated or not. The main issue will be which league has an extra team promoted into it to replace them! Rather than champagne if that happens, I think most football fans, whatever their persuasion, would prefer something slightly sweet but mostly bitter.

    Sorry Millwall and sorry Southampton, but it was getting 1 point from games against Bristol and Coventry that sealed our relegation. Though as Chilco says, it may be academic.
