Like I said, it was the combined efforts of Coventry and Bristol who effectively relegated us. Southampton and Millwall results are fairly irrelevent and Doncaster get to land the finishing blow: "FINISH THEM!"
Very difficult to assign importance to any game whether considering promotion or relagation...it's over the whole season. If we don't go up, points dropped against Bristol City, Portsmouth, Leicester etc are all involved equally.
So, what happens if Pompey finish the season more than the 10 points they were deducted? Does this mean if they survive liquidation, they start next season on -10 as they had no punishment this season?
No. We were punished that way because we went into administration after a cut off date. A week or so earlier and we would not have had -10 either.
Actually I think the question meant what happens if Pompey het given anymore points off for other irregularities? Then the points come off next season.
